It’s another weekend, and the WNBA is still trying to answer the question about who is a woman.  It makes me wonder if Sandy Posey’s “Born a Woman” would be banned as a hate song from the woke play.  Yes, Sandy’s song was a bit controversial when it came out many years ago, but at least she knew what a woman was: “Yes, I was born a woman.  I’m glad it happened that way.  Oh, I was born a woman.”

Sandy knew she was a born a woman, so why are all of the smart executives at the WNBA having so much trouble answering the question?  What we hear from them is that we shouldn’t hate anyone, but who is hating anyone?  As The New York Post reported:

An organization with the word “women” in its name should be able to say what a woman is, but the Women’s National Basketball Association can’t bring itself to affirm something so basic, for fear of defying progressive pieties about “gender identity.”

Former NBA players Enes Kanter and Royce White have pushed the issue by announcing their intention to enter the WNBA draft as women; the league held an emergency meeting to try to draw up a policy that would clearly exclude them — and found it couldn’t.

Instead, it announced a lack of “immediate eligibility matters affecting the WNBA” while denouncing “bad-faith efforts to use these topics to demean or marginalize others.”

But Kanter and White aren’t acting in bad faith, exactly; they’re calling out the hypocrisy of a women’s sports league bowing to a perverse ideology that allows some depraved men to pose as women.

Letting men play would destroy the WNBA, and everyone knows it — as they know that neither Kanter nor White is truly sincere.

Don’t blame Kanter or White for pointing out just how stupid the league’s eligibility rules are.  They simply want you to answer a simple question about male and female.  If you can’t answer that basic question then you need to let them play.

My guess is that every player in the WNBA knows how insane this whole thing is.  Some are probably afraid to say anything for fear of being assaulted by woke reporters or decapitated by a lesbian player on the other team.  So the league leadership is lost in space and accusing everyone of promoting hate or other nonsense.

Sandy knew decades ago that she was a born a woman and glad it happened that way.  Why is that so hard to understand in 2026?
