Abdul El-Sayed, the Democrat Senate candidate in Michigan, is one of the most controversial in the 2026 election cycle. His speeches reek of what Mamdani called “the warmth of collectivism” (which eventually always looks like this) and downplay the hardcore aspects of his openly avowed Muslim faith. He is the perfect fusion of Islam and communism, both of which are antithetical to the Constitution and American liberty. He is a perfect Manchurian candidate.

However, The Gateway Pundit has pulled together a pretty amazing compilation of statements from Jordan Domingue, who eventually founded “Democrats for Mike Rogers.” Domingue was one of El-Sayed’s closest staffers until quitting in January. Patty McMurray reviewed reams of tweets and articles since January to create a comprehensive look at what Domingue claims to have seen over the years.
Everything in this post, unless otherwise stated, summarizes The Gateway Pundit’s comprehensive research. It is not the result of independent research, nor does it vouch for the accuracy of any factual statements.
First, who is Jordan Domingue? He’s a black former Marine combat veteran who spent years working in international security before joining El-Sayed in 2018. Domingue claims he was very close to El-Sayed, working as his personal assistant and leading his protection team, sometimes being with him six to seven days a week, for 12-14 hours a day. He claims he was equally close to El-Sayed’s family.
Here are very short summaries of Domingue’s allegations about El-Sayed. When he quit the campaign in January, he says he declined a separation payment that would have required a nondisparagement agreement, so he could speak freely about these concerns.
- El-Sayed’s public persona is fundamentally manufactured, with his behavior, positions, and image shifting to suit his audience and political needs.
- El-Sayed says different things to different constituencies.
- El-Sayed behaves badly toward staff. [Note: That seems to be a Democrat trait.]
- El-Sayed behaved like an “entitled mobster” toward elected officials.
- El-Sayed’s foreign policy is motivated by grievance or “misplaced revenge.” It’s central to his campaign and is driven by something resembling personal or ideological revenge.
- El-Sayed does not genuinely care about civilian lives or peace in the Israel–Palestinian conflict—which was the breaking point for Domingue.
- El-Sayed is either antisemitic or at least totally indifferent to Jewish welfare.
- El-Sayed was indifferent to the civilian consequences of defunding Israel’s Iron Dome.
- El-Sayed sympathizes with Hamas or, if not the group, with its political narrative.
- El-Sayed is trying to avoid taking a stand on Iran.
- El-Sayed won’t break with Hasan Piker, a stance Domingue thought was wrong.
- El-Sayed wants U.S. money sent to UNRWA despite allegations involving some UNRWA personnel and October 7, another thing that caused Domingue to campaign for Mike Rogers.
- Domingue accuses El-Sayed of lying about his public-service record, inflating his credentials for the Senate.
- El-Sayed, he says, “didn’t work a real job until 31.”
- El-Sayed’s “tough-guy” persona is fake and recently manufactured, possibly as consultant-guided branding.
- El-Sayed’s aggressive masculinity is purely performative. He’s more effete Ivy League than masculine.
- El-Sayed is emotionally immature, locked in a high-school locker-room mentality. (He thinks farting at staff is funny.)
- El-Sayed is a bully who retreats when challenged.
- El-Sayed avoids substantive questioning about Israel and Palestine despite making the issue central to his candidacy.
- El-Sayed has criticized armed policing while employing Domingue as an armed protector for roughly two years.
- El-Sayed is trying to conceal or rewrite his previous positions on policing and crime. (That is, he does not want to admit he once supported defunding the police and decarceration.)
- A campaign video deliberately makes El-Sayed look as though he has law-enforcement or tactical experience that he does not possess.
- Domingue alleges that El-Sayed’s Wayne County Deputy Sheriff’s Association endorsement came largely from personal relationships, lacked serious policy vetting, skipped interviews with other primary candidates, and denied deputies a chance to learn about El-Sayed’s previous anti-police comments. The endorsement is also marketed as a general law enforcement endorsement, not from a single union.
- El-Sayed is strangely apathetic toward animals, and Domingue describes him in a way that makes him sound vaguely sociopathic.
As of today, the El-Sayed campaign seems to have been trying to ignore Domingue. When it does respond, it attacks his credibility rather than refuting his specific claims. The Michigan Enjoyer, which published an April 1 report about Domingue’s accusations (many of which The Gateway Pundit includes in its post), had this to say about the campaign’s response:

El-Sayed’s campaign spokesperson issued a statement disparaging Domingue. The statement directly contradicts documents reviewed by Michigan Enjoyer.

El-Sayed’s campaign did not respond to further questions and a request for evidence to support assertions made in its statement.
When allegations about El-Sayed’s history of disrespecting women (a trait common to both Islam and communism) ended up in an AIPAC-affiliated ad against El-Sayed, the campaign merely attacked AIPAC, not the underlying allegations. A pro-El-Sayed site, however, did attack Domingue, but its attacks on the ad focus on policy, not facts.
El-Sayed himself keeps saying he loves Jews (although his policies create dead Jews), but he hasn’t specifically addressed Domingue’s claims.
As for me, I find many of the claims entirely credible, because they align with what he has said, the people with whom he associates, the political stands he supports, and the values he espouses. Moreover, the strutting bantam rooster posture is as fake as a doddering Joe Biden repeatedly threatening to beat up people who offended him.
