Though her heyday is over, Edwina Currie, formerly a member of the British Parliament as part of the Conservative Party, still involves herself in current affairs and policy thought. And, it was her recent response to the news that the British government would be depositing 1,200 fighting-age Muslim male migrants into the tiny English village of Piddington that reveals a truth many of us aren’t willing to accept or admit: the “Big Tent” doesn’t work for conservatives.

First, let’s see what Edwina had to say, that, rightfully, has people in an uproar, and proves my point:

“The obvious thing that 1,200 young men are going to need in the middle of a village like little Piddington is a brothel! I don’t think they’re [local government] going to provide that—I have a feeling that’s not going to be allowed.” Well I should freaking hope not Edwina. On top of third world men, now the people of Piddington should be subjected to a whorehouse, and all the dysfunction that comes with it?
She knows these Muslims are going to rape (duh, they always do!), so her solution is to provide them with a class of dejected and subjugated women whom it’s socially acceptable to rape? What kind of a “solution” is that? How about we just not import third world savages into the West, especially into places like Piddington? For context, Piddington is a village of around 360 Englishmen, and roughly 14% of the population are children. Wouldn’t that be the actual “conservative” response to a problem like the prospect of introducing orcs to the Shire?
Also, to point out the obvious flow in Edwina’s “logic,” since when are these Muslim nightmares interested in women their own age? They trend toward targeting youngsters. Consider this recent story, out of Germany:

A shocking new case has come to light, which involves three Syrians gang raping a 10-year-old girl, with the men also urinating on her and smearing her with feces.
And this one, from Spain, just in the last week:
Spain: After mass migrant invasion, 5 girls under 14 reportedly raped in Ceuta
An underage boy was also reportedly raped at a time when the Ceuta medical system is completely overwhelmed[.]
(I briefly covered that story a tad in another blog on foreigners and their noticeably different approach to the act of forced sex that we in the West call “rape,” here.)
And don’t forget that within the Muslim grooming gangs across England, the typical girl trafficked for rape was between eleven and fifteen, as revealed by the Independent Rape Gang Inquiry Report published earlier this summer. It’s not that the British government was ignorant of the crimes, they just didn’t care—as they evidently saw it, British children from humble and modest backgrounds “were an acceptable group to absorb the violence.”
Yet, a Big Tent would demand I share my party, and dilute non-negotiables (no rape allowed) for a few votes. I refuse, and so should we all.
