In a good cause, martyrs are courageous and worthy people who change history, people such as Socrates, Jesus and his disciples, Joan of Arc, Thomas More, Nathan Hale, Dietrich Bonhoeffer and Sophie Scholl, etc. All should be venerated for their sacrifices.

But there are other so-called “martyrs” who shouldn’t be accorded any honor at all, whether they’re narcissists who embrace martyrdom to manipulate people through guilt or—and this is where I’m going with my post—people who are martyrs in a manifestly wrongful cause.

Caitlin Clark and all those girls lining up at the starting gate to compete against boys are in that last category. They’re fighting on behalf of obviously stupid causes, whether the leftist claims that it’s evil to be a white person in America or that muscular, testosterone-rich boys with dense bone structure magically become girls based on their own say-so. There is enough information available to these would-be martyrs to figure out where the truth and their interests lie, so until they start fighting their own battles, I say…let ‘em fail.

What triggers this post is the latest uproar about WNBA player Caitlyn Clark. Alyssa Thomas, a black lesbian in the league, somehow—totally by accident, she and her supporters aver—almost crushed Caitlyn Clark’s throat during a game:

🔥Hold up…A closer look at the dirty play by Alyssa Thomas last night w/ a new angle — Wait for the freeze + zoom on each.

– Knee to the groin
– Pinches her underarm
– Fist to the throat
– Attempt to stomp on her (she moved)

But before I get my knickers in a twist, here are some facts. According to ESPN, writing, when Clark entered the league after college, “Players of color make up 81.1% of the WNBA; 70.3% are African American.”

It’s been obvious since the beginning that Clark’s white skin offends them. The players in the league have made it clear that her skin color, combined with the fact that she’s a better player than the rest put together, makes her a target. These women are disgusting racists and sexual haters.

But do I care? No. Here’s why:

Clark is cognizant of the racial underpinnings of her stardom. “I want to say I’ve earned every single thing, but as a white person, there is privilege,” says Clark. “A lot of those players in the league that have been really good have been Black players. This league has kind of been built on them. The more we can appreciate that, highlight that, talk about that, and then continue to have brands and companies invest in those players that have made this league incredible, I think it’s very important. I have to continue to try to change that. The more we can elevate Black women, that’s going to be a beautiful thing.”

There are no racial underpinnings. Clerk is a hugely talented player who got drafted into a league that exists only because the NBA funds it to assuage angry women who cannot even pretend to compete against men. That is the whole story.

Nevertheless, Clark has embraced the black players’ misbegotten cause, which means she must accept her suffering. And if she accepts it, so do I. If they kill her or leave her brain damaged, as they seem determined to do, Clark will die knowing that she deserved her martyrdom. However, those of us who don’t exist in a world where whites are inferior people who deserve to suffer shouldn’t give this miserable martyr the time of day or any of our money.

I feel the same way about all those high school girls who keep participating in races against biological boys. As long as they show up, they are putting their imprimatur on the fiction driving these boys to compete against girls…and win.

This madness will stop when the only person who shows up at the race is a delusional boy unwilling to compete against his own sex. One or two
“races” without any other competitors, and a stadium without fans, will break this system.

As long as the actual girls respect the pronouns and run the races, they are martyrs in a bad cause. And yes, I know there are scholarships on the line, but these complicit girls and their families are already going down a path ensuring that girls will be shut out regardless. Moreover, unprincipled college coaches (that’s most of them) care only about winning. If they field a winning swim team consisting entirely of men in women’s swimsuits, that’s fine with them.

So, every time I see an outraged post from a conservative bemoaning another man winning in a girls’ or women’s league, my question is whether that boy or man was the only one competing in an otherwise empty stadium or pool. If the answer is no, my response is, “I don’t care.”

Caitlyn Clark, who should be a role model, does no favors for women’s sports by being a submissive martyr for anti-American racial politics. Moreover, her example inspires hordes of young women to be equally stupid in the service of sexual identity politics. They need to lead the battle against this madness, at which time I will be happy to fight alongside them.
