On October 7, 2026, New York mayor and Democratic Socialist Zohran Mamdani made a statement that began with lip-service condemnation of Hamas.  “This day is profoundly painful for so many New Yorkers.  It marks three years since the horrific war crimes of October 7.  On that day, Hamas killed more than 1,100 Israelis and abducted 251 others.  We grieve alongside our many friends and neighbors who still carry that unthinkable loss.”

There is, however, an adage that says that the word “but,” or its equivalent, negates everything that comes before it.  As George W. Bush put it after Sep. 11, 2001, you are either with us or with the terrorists.  After Dec. 7, 1941, you were either with the civilized world or you were with the Nazis and Imperial Japanese.  You didn’t get to say, “I condemn Japan’s attack on Pearl Harbor, but…” and then make implied excuses for Japan’s conduct.  It is similarly clear to me where somebody who says, “I condemn Hamas’s actions, but Israel commits genocide, apartheid, and ethnic cleansing” really stands.  Mamdani went on to justify Hamas’s actions by falsely accusing Israel of apartheid and saying the suffering did not begin on Oct. 7, 2023 (an implication that Israel had it coming).

The suffering did not begin nor end that day. It instead continued through the Israeli government’s devastating, ongoing genocide in Gaza, in which it has killed more than 74,000 Palestinians — including more than 21,000 children. Even since the so-called ceasefire, more than 1,400 Palestinians have been killed. That suffering has intensified with every Israeli bomb dropped on ambulances waiting outside hospitals, every drone strike targeting a residential building or journalist, and every shipment of food aid turned away at a border crossing. Many New Yorkers are reckoning with this unbearable grief, and we mourn alongside them — all while knowing that our tax dollars fund these war crimes.

Mamdani is too stupid or, more likely, willfully dishonest to understand that the civilian losses are one hundred percent the responsibility of Hamas, which uses civilians as human shields.  “Ambulance” is Hamas-speak for “personnel carrier,” “hospital” means “ammunition depot,” and Hamas’s abuse of the Red Cross or Red Crescent is yet another crime against humanity.  Mamdani therefore applies Joseph Goebbels’s advice to accuse the other side of what one’s own is guilty of — namely, war crimes against civilians.  We have established so far, then, that the Democratic Socialist mayor of New York City is a water carrier for the same terrorist organization that slaughtered not only more than a thousand Israelis, but also about forty American citizens on Oct. 7 2023.

Make no mistake: It is the same ideology; it just goes under different labels like Hamas; al-Qaeda; ISIS; IRGC; Hezb’allah; Boko Haram; Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine; and whatever deranged and violent manifestos the Tsarnaev brothers, Pulse Nightclub shooter Omar Mateen, and Fort Hood shooter and self-proclaimed “soldier of Allah” Nidal Hasan followed.  It’s the same ideology that rapes Iranian women in Evin Prison before it hangs them, along with LGBT people and anybody who criticizes the ayatollahs — and the “Justice in Palestine” people don’t have much to say about that.

Mamdani proceeded to carry Hamas’s water by calling for an end to U.S. arms shipments to Israel.  “Three years later, we must refuse to accept a world in which occupation and apartheid continue, where war crimes are met with impunity, and our federal government continues its complicity with every arms shipment.”  He can give whatever lip service he wants to condemnation of Hamas, but this is his actual bottom line.

Mamdani has supported Hamas’s cause even further by threatening to arrest Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu.  Why is the mayor of New York City giving verbal and written (but not material, such as money and weapons) support to the same ideology that slaughtered 2,753 New Yorkers, including hundreds of emergency responders, on Sep. 11, 2001?  Let’s turn over some rocks and see what crawls out.

Qatar, the Shadowy Puppet Master

The Jerusalem Post reports, citing the New York Post, that “Qatari state-funded cultural institutions have financed multiple stage and screen projects by Mira Nair, the Indian filmmaker and mother of Democratic mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani.”  Qatar has supported Hamas, at least to the extent of allowing Hamas leaders to reside there.  The Mideast Journal adds, “Qatar maintains a relationship with terrorists, demonstrated by a permissive legal jurisdiction that allows terror financiers to operate in the state and the close connections Qatar has historically held with such illicit channeling of funds” and cites prior associations with al-Qaeda.  The Jewish Insider adds, “Prominent Qatari royal boosts Zohran Mamdani on social media.”  That is, the same country that has offered support to Hamas, and is alleged credibly to be a state sponsor of terrorism, promoted Mamdani’s election bid — and New Yorkers voted for him.

Mamdani’s Wife Liked Pro-Hamas Social Media Posts

Yahoo News reports, “Report Reveals Mamdani’s Wife Provided Art For Company Celebrating ‘Terrorist’ Who Shot Down a Plane.”  Rama Duwaji also liked or up-voted social media posts that celebrated violence.  “In March 2026, media outlets reported that, since the October 7 attacks, Duwaji had ‘liked’ several Instagram posts supportive of Palestinian political violence and the Palestinian cause as a whole.”

News12NJ adds, “An investigation by The Free Press found that Duwaji liked an Instagram post that referred to sexual violence reported during Hamas’ Oct. 7 attack as a ‘mass rape hoax.’”  Duwaji’s support of denial of proven sexual violence against Jewish women, in fact, puts her in the same category as neo-Nazis who deny that Germany murdered any Jews, and Recip Erdoğan’s denial that his country murdered any Pontic Greeks or Armenians.  This reference adds that Duwaji liked another post that described Oct. 7, 2023 as “collective liberation.”

The Washington Free Beacon adds, “Zohran Mamdani’s Wife Celebrated Palestinian Terrorists, Including Plane Hijacker, In Social Media Posts From Early Adulthood.  Rama Duwaji also boosted a post that said Tel Aviv ‘Shouldn’t exist in the first place.’”  The Jewish Insider adds, “The posts liked by Rama Duwaji, a Syrian-American artist, unambiguously celebrated the terrorist attack, which saw nearly 1,200 Israelis and foreign workers killed, thousands wounded, 251 civilians and military personnel kidnapped and numerous episodes of sexual assault.”

The Democrat Party Is with Mamdani

Why did Egypt get ten plagues, and the United States get Zohran Mamdani and Rama Duwaji?  The Pharaoh had first choice.  The Democrat party, however, seems to view Mamdani as a blessing rather than a pestilence.  Mamdani was endorsed by Kamala Harris, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, Elizabeth Warren, Kathy Hochul, and “Palestine Pramila” Jayapal.

We cannot deny that Mamdani denounced Hamas for “horrific war crimes,” but every single thing he said afterward supports that organization to the hilt.   Some Democrats deserve credit for denouncing his statement and distancing themselves from it.  Republicans must follow up by demanding that other prominent Democrats, such as Gavin Newsom (Calif.), Charles Schumer (N.Y.), Josh Shapiro (Pa.), and so on denounce Mamdani as well.
