You’d think the Nobel Committee, which votes on the peace prize. would have learned something about the value of ignoring true peacemakers in favor of various activists with causes.

When they awarded the peace prize last year to Venezuela’s Maria Corina Machado, she made that pretty clear, offering her peace prize to President Trump as a more deserving recipient.

After all, Trump had ended multiple long-running wars.

Machado had led 20 years of futile protests, enduring thuggery and living in hiding, also proving conclusively that the 2024 election had been stolen from her chosen candidate in a farce of democracy. Never once did she call for or condone violence despite these provocations. She was a peaceful and genuinely honorable person — but it didn’t get her country any results.

Trump, on the other hand, really did insist on results in his peacemaking through a muscular and involved diplomacy, backed by U.S. military might. So Machado didn’t mind offering her prize to him. particularly because she knew that he could bring true peace to her country with democracy and freedom in a way that she and her protests could not.

Those hard facts and her recognition of it was an embarassment to the Nobel committee, which had given the prize to her, so in a fit of pique, they handed their prize this year to one Navi Pillay, a South African justice, who’d spent her life in various leftwing lawyer positions on the well-paid salary side working in elite transnational global courts and bureaucracies, and who, like them, was very, very Trump-hating, and very, very leftwing.

BREAKING NEWS The Norwegian Nobel Committee has decided to award the 2026 #NobelPeacePrize to Navanethem “Navi” Pillay for her efforts to promote peace and international law. #NobelPrize https://t.co/97vurspw6z

Her first move was to mock Maria Corina Machado, who demonstrated the difference between real peace and peaceful activism.

A video shared on X by Amnesty International Secretary General Agnès Callamard captured Pillay addressing an applauding audience. “If you clap a little bit more I may share this prize with Trump,” she joked, prompting laughter.

That must have delighted the Nobel committee, which had been so humiliated by Maria Corina.

Pillay, in fact, is quite a bad person, someone who hates justice and always takes partisan sides. A few examples:

“COMPLICIT IN GENOCIDE”: U.N. Whistleblower Denounces Nobel Winner Navi Pillay For Betraying China’s Uyghurs A U.N. whistleblower today accused today’s Nobel peace prize laureate of being “complicit in genocide.” Emma Reilly, a human rights lawyer who worked under Navi Pillay, alleges that under her leadership the U.N. human rights office handed dissidents’ names to China, and ignored her warnings about the danger to them and their families. “Unfortunately, the winner is an absolute disgrace,” said Emma Reilly,” and accused her of being “quite literally complicit in the Uyghur genocide. If she didn’t have diplomatic immunity, three victims would have sued her.” “How much has China subverted human rights? Well, Navi Pillay just got the Nobel Peace Prize. The same Navi Pillay who was High Commissioner when I first reported the UN handing names of dissidents to China. Her response? Bring her a different chair, she was uncomfortable.” “Navi Pillay oversaw the communication of names of over 50 dissidents to China. Families of the dissidents testified in court.” “They testified, under oath, to their family members being intimidated, arbitrarily detained, tortured, disappeared, and even killed in concentration camps. This is an absolute travesty of ‘peace.’ “All staffers [of Pillay] who directly handed over names were promoted… I was fired for speaking up.” More: https://t.co/EWIN3MGKqy

Navi Pillay, Nobel Peace Prize Laureate, was UN High Commissioner for Human Rights from 2008 to 2014. Below are emails sent to China during her tenure, giving advance info on who would speak out about China’s human rights abuses. “Hamas celebrates Nobel Peace Prize to Navi Pillay” Mission accomplished, @NobelPrize — your intended message was perfectly received.

In an interview with the Danish newspaper Berlingske, Denmark’s former foreign minister Per Stig Møller recounts a highly compromising story about the recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize, Navi Pillay. In 2008, when Denmark faced problems in Pakistan (a car bomb exploded outside the embassy) because of the Muhammad cartoons, Denmark turned to the UN – including the then High Commissioner for Human Rights, Navi Pillay. On that occasion Pillay was completely dismissive of supporting Denmark. Her only recommendation to the foreign minister was to introduce censorship. That, she said, would prevent the problem in the future. I find it shocking that an opponent of freedom of speech can be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize.

Navi Pillay, Sept. 2012: “Charlie Hebdo is doubly irresponsible to publish these cartoons.” She called the cartoons “malicious and deliberately provocative.” Pillay “fully understands why people wish to protest strongly against the cartoons.” https://t.co/pdbl2Qbfu3 https://t.co/UCyEesHlfo

That is one vomitacious record and I haven’t even gone through the entire stack. It’s outrageous, this woman had clearly brought more war and division than any peaceful activist. She’s purposely stirred the pot, called black white and white black, and always taken the side of evil. She may be the worst winner of the Nobel Peace Prize since Arafat. Not even the peace tree planters and other jejeune awardees ever did any of those disgusting things.

So now the Nobel committee has disgraced itself by electing a toad. Any questions that the award is increasingly irrelevant and useless? How bad could they get?
