Over the years, CAIR has managed to offend, insult, and upset Americans as they supposedly try to protect the rights of Muslims in this country. They’ve managed to do it again, as they published a “Back to School Resource Guide” for grade schoolers, and they managed to make an “editing error” that has raised the hackles of concerned Americans. The original publication printed in August 2026 read as follows:

The since-deleted school material — titled ‘Muslim Studies Curriculum’ — said the worst terror attack on American soil was justified because of the US’s ‘support of Israel’ – and blamed America’s involvement in the Persian Gulf War and the ‘vast presence’ of the military across the Middle East.
A reasonable person working for CAIR might expect that the publication would be very carefully vetted, given the controversy over the organization, and the fact that the handbook would be distributed nationwide to K-12. Then again, a person might wonder if this statement was intentionally included as an attack on the United States, hoping no one would notice.
No explanation has been given.
Meanwhile, a reprinted version has been distributed.
In the reprinted version, CAIR also included information in the handbook that could be considered questionable, given how young (5 years old) some of the children who read it will be:
‘CAIR just nationalized a curriculum that refuses to call the 9/11 hijackers terrorists, assigns Osama bin Laden’s ‘Letter to America’ as high-school reading, and coaches five-year-olds on Gaza without ever naming Hamas or October 7. That is not inclusion – it’s dangerous propaganda,’ railed Moshe Spern, President of United Jewish Teachers, to The Post.

CAIR also wanted to be sure that Muslims were presented in the least offensive light:
It provides age-bracketed scripts for adults discussing Gaza with children as young as five. It instructs educators to ‘ensure students are not penalized or stigmatized for expressing support for Palestinian human rights and do not conflate peaceful advocacy for Palestinian freedom with supporting terrorism or antisemitism.’
The publication of this handbook raises many questions:
- Why isn’t this document seen as propaganda to present Islam in the best possible light?
- Why are the schools permitting the distribution to every child in the system?
- Why didn’t the document go through a review process by educators to ensure that the information was appropriate and accurate?
It’s clear that CAIR is once again trying to control the narrative rather than educate. Their excuse is the response of the general public during the period around 9/11:

CAIR also blamed the US’s response for an ‘aggressive shift in US domestic and foreign policy’ that sparked the Middle East’s War on Terror and an ‘erosion of civil liberties of many Americans.’
‘While Islamophobia and anti-Muslim racism existed long before the 9/11 attacks, this time period marked a stark shift in US policy and state-sponsored Islamophobia in the US and abroad. There was immediate backlash against anyone perceived to be Muslim, wearing traditional garb, it said.
You might also notice that CAIR uses this opportunity to “educate” by criticizing the United States and labeling it Islamophobic.
When will the leaders of this country acknowledge the truth about CAIR and its parent, the Muslim Brotherhood? One New York councilwoman spoke with clarity:
New York City Councilwoman Vickie Paladino told the Daily Signal that the organization’s guide and reference to Bin Laden’s manifesto prove that ‘CAIR is a terrorist organization.’
‘There’s really no other way to put it. They’re the political wing of the Muslim Brotherhood, and it’s frankly insane that we’ve allowed them to operate in the United States at all, much less gain such a level of influence that they’re now involved with school curriculum,’ Paladino continued.
