Representative LaMonica McIver (D-NJ) keeps denying what she we all saw, and the courts keep denying her B.S. story, and it’s a beautiful thing.

As you may recall, Ms. McIver used her rather considerable avoirdupois to body a federal agent outside a detention facility in New Jersey last winter. She was part of the anti-ICE hysteria we saw gripping the country in various hotspots throughout the nation; Delaney Hall in Newark was one of them. Ms. McIver, by dint of representing New Jersey’s 10th congressional district, which includes Newark, seemed to think the illegal aliens inside Delaney Hall were among those she was responsible for representing. She could not have been more wrong. And unluckily for her, she was wrong on camera.
It’s pretty clear. And even a Biden-appointed judge saw it (emphasis added).
McIver has denied the allegations and has argued the case should be thrown out because the Constitution grants federal lawmakers immunity from prosecution for their legislative acts. A lower court rejected that view in a ruling last year.
In its opinion Wednesday, the 3rd Circuit panel affirmed that earlier ruling and agreed with the distinction it made between McIver’s congressionally authorized inspection of the facility and her involvement in the confrontation with agents.
‘The acts of pushing past someone and forcibly striking someone are unambiguously non-legislative,’ U.S. Circuit Court Judge Cindy K. Chung wrote for the majority. ‘They are not integral to the legislative process.’

It was a 2-1 decision and the dissenter cited… wait for it… wait for it… January 6th! Don’t even ask me why or how. Nobody sane could follow that train….
But imagine that. A Democrat-appointed judge correctly observed objective reality. There may be hope for them yet.
Representative McIver’s hopes are dimming with each consecutive slap back. She faces up to 17 years for her actions that day.
Actions, she must now be beginning to realize, have consequences.
