The WNBA has once again betransed itself this week with yet another totally unnecessary and uncalled-for “controversy” concerning men insisting on bulling into women’s sports teams.

The ladies were thrown into a tizzy when NBA veterans Enes Kanter Freedom and Royce White went public with demands that they be allowed to play in the WNBA. Kanter Freedom insisted that he met “every single requirement” to play in the women’s league, the league having no actual definition of what a woman is, while White claimed that his “thick eyelashes” were all the qualifications he needed. The two were immediately attacked by sportswriters, academics, and other interested parties as embarked on a “political stunt” intended to embarrass the WNBA. Which they were – both players were speaking out in response to the treatment received by WNBA star Sophie Cunningham for her comments regarding transgenders and women’s sports teams a couple weeks ago.
So the league held a meeting on August 12 to sort things out and, guess what. They couldn’t for the life of them decide what a woman was. (Proving Kanter Freedom dead right.)
Now it won’t shock anyone to learn that the WNBA is largely a lesbian organization, and if the manly girls can’t figure out what a woman is, they’ve got problems. (This marks a disappointment to me personally, since, during my days in NYC’s Village, lesbians struck me as the most sensible part of the LGBT coalition, who would never go off chasing the latest trends like those silly boys.)

Once again, the WNBA has made its bed. This is a league that endorses the wildest excesses of wokism (long after these were rejected by the public), remains silent as its own stars are brutalized, and in the end, acts as exhibit A for the pre-feminist school of thought that women can’t run anything.
The WNBA was founded for one purpose: to correct a perceived situation in which female athletes were not being given an arena for the full display of their talents. Kowtowing to the trannies makes an absolute joke out of this mission, and removes any reason for the league’s existence.
