Well, let’s get acquainted with Ceuta, or the latest flash point in the war of civilizations. As you may have heard, a bunch of “migrants” streamed into this Spanish territory. Don’t you love the media saying streamed? How about crossing a border without permission?
Let’s get the details:
Spain will deploy its military to restore order at its border with Morocco in Ceuta after thousands of migrants streamed into the tiny Spanish territory, with at least nine dying in the attempt.
The announcement comes after local authorities in Ceuta had asked the central government in Madrid for reinforcements to manage a border crisis that had been building up before boiling over on Thursday with large crowds of people breaching the border fence.
Spain’s government said Thursday evening it would send the Armed Forces to help the Civil Guard “to maintain security in the city of Ceuta.” It also announced that Spain’s Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez would join Interior Minister Fernando Grande-Marlaska and visit Ceuta Friday.

“The situation is absolute chaos,” Rachid Sbihi, head of the association that represents Spain’s Civil Guard officers in Ceuta, who police the border, told The Associated Press. “It’s not possible to give precise numbers, but there are thousands of migrants crossing,” he said, adding that the border had “totally collapsed.”
PM Sánchez, who recently signed an “immigration reform” law to show that he was not Trump, finally had to send in the troops to put down this madness. At the same time, most of his critics think that he waited too long and let the situation get out of control. Yes, he did wait too long, but he was the one who set the table for this madness in the first place.
Remember that Spain is the main entry point for young, military-age men seeking better economic opportunities in Europe. Yes, lots of young men without wives or children are looking for a better life—or so we are told. Some of the young men were interviewed and told the press that they were running from the law. This interview is in Spanish, but that is what the young man is saying.
What happens now? Well, the arrivals will probably get their EU passports and free medical care because socialist PM Sánchez does not want to be called a racist. They can then enjoy those European trains that will let them travel freely across the Union.
Del Rio, Texas, had Governor Abbott to protect it. Ceuta had PM Sánchez. That is your story.
