My mom often tells me that I’m “intense” in my opinions, but what I think she’s perceiving is that I have convictions, based on lots of prior thinking and observable evidence. With regards to certain topics, she must see me as set in my beliefs, unwilling to change or consider “alternative” (her) thoughts on a particular matter, but that’s not it—it’s that I’ve already explored all the data and viewpoints, and arrived at what I view as the correct conclusion. More investigation will not yield new information, and history is what it is. Of course, this only applies to a handful of things that I’ve really thought through—there is plenty that I don’t know, and I am more than happy to be educated where my own knowledge is lacking (though naturally, I’ll have a conservative/traditional/right-wing bent).

But, here is one of those topics where I cannot be convinced otherwise: Voting is not a human right, and simply being human does not automatically entitle you to participate in the political system. The ability and privilege to cast a vote belongs to a very select few.
We hear all the time that “.” But if that were true, then why don’t we send out ballots to the entire world? Are there not humans all over? The left doesn’t even argue anymore that voting should be exclusive to citizens; they advocate that anyone in our country, whether he’s a Salvadoran rapist or an Afghan goat-humper, gets a say in how things should go politically.
Why don’t babies get a vote? Three-year-olds? Aren’t they also human beings? The left wants to lower the voting age to 16, but what about being 16 suddenly makes a person a human? Did they not have human rights before that? Human rights are rights given to us by God, those things endowed to us by a Creator because we are a unique creation with inherent value. Those rights are limited, and easily articulated: life, liberty, and property.
So, like I argued, voting is not a human right. Therefore, it’s a privilege.
And how does one have the privilege of something? Well, they’re either given it by virtue of their birthright, or, they earn it—and this is where I arrive at the inescapable reality: property-owning American men who can pass an IQ test are the only people deserving of such a privilege.
People may say this is “unfair,” but life’s not fair. While we’re equal in value before the eyes of God, we’re not all equal. Some people are prettier, some people are smarter, some have better starts in life, some have more opportunity, and men and women, with their very different brains and thought processes, are suited for different roles and tasks.
I had a former (leftist) best friend explain to me why the Constitution was an obsolete document: she said the people of today are “way smarter” than people 300 years ago. This was coming from an interior designer, whose grand education was color theory and how to style a home. She thinks she’s “smarter” than Thomas Jefferson with his 150+ IQ level, a command of six or seven languages, including Latin, an advanced knowledge in law, philosophy, history, mathematics, and science? This is the same girl who, during a political discussion, got lost as soon as I brought up the idea of objectivity. I’m actually embarrassed for her.
Does anyone really want to argue she should have a say in shaping government and policy, actively undoing what Jefferson helped build? She can spout her silly opinions as much as she wants, but we don’t have to take them seriously or award them merit with a vote.

I actually had a college-educated woman, a conservative woman this time, tell me that women should be able to vote because otherwise, if she committed a crime, her husband would be on the hook for the punishment. She explained that you can only be subject to the system if you get a say in how it’s run. I was like, wait, what?? That’s nonsensical, and also not true. Again, babies don’t vote, but they’re entitled to legal protections. 15-year-olds don’t vote, but they’re still granted driving privileges, and they still have to follow the law.
Do we want people with cognitive (dis)abilities like this having any say in complex political matters where theft, tyranny, and democide is a very real possibility when people don’t choose wisely? I sure don’t.

Now, Love Island is a reality-style television show where young, hot people are sequestered away in a villa, only wearing swimwear, and as I understand it, the “storyline” is whole lot of swapping and hooking up and broken hearts and hurt feelings—the “Boobah” comment is a reference to an old child’s show, a production that appealed to infantile minds. Is Womp Tomp not completely right? I have a hard time believing any of the people who are entertained by such bread and circuses have the personal responsibility and focus required to be a property owner, and I doubt many of them would pass an IQ test. Problem solved.
Why should people who have no personal investment in the country have a say? We’re seeing the fallout of such an idea in New York, where the have-nots (a status based entirely on their own poor decisions) are coming for the haves. Criminality is being legalized, because…mUh DeMoCrAcY and vOtInG iS a HuMaN rIgHt.
What about the female problem? Sure, there are women who vote the right way (me)—but there are so many more of us who don’t. I’m more than happy to restore the male-only system of the founders, even if I don’t get a say, because that’s actually the only way my political beliefs go from a vote to a reality. I’d get my closed borders, my female-only spaces—free of penises and men in makeup—my prayer in schools, my apportioned and lawful taxes, etc. Since women were handed the “right to vote,” have things gotten better…or worse? Back to that idea of objectivity, things are drastically worse—objectively. Just 100 years of women having political power, and now we have homos running around our streets with their willies out in front of children and having anal sex on public streets during “Pride” events like the Folsom Street Fair, the idea that a birth canal gives a baby its personhood is widely accepted, rapists are championed, and borders are being erased. Guys, things aren’t going well, and something has to change.
