That’s what a new Rasmussen Reports survey of 1,102 likely voters found in a survey taken on July 20-22:
Revelations about China’s breach of American election systems have many voters worried in the wake of President Donald Trump’s speech on the subject last week.
The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 52% of Likely U.S. Voters watched at least part of Trump’s July 16 speech, either on TV or via social media. Forty-three percent (43%) haven’t seen any of Trump’s speech, which the NBC and ABC networks refused to broadcast live. (To see survey question wording, click here.)
The pollster noted a margin of sampling error at plus-minus 3, and a 95 percent confidence in the result.
Which tells us a lot about public concerns, even among Democrats, as to whether votes are being counted in elections and only American citizens are voting. Nationwide, the confidence is not there. (I’d love to see the subset on California voters.)

The issue at hand is doors left wide open to fraud — from ballot harvesting, to mass mailouts of ballots, to unattended vote deposit boxes, to failure to keep China and Mexico out of the elections, to illegals voting, to weeks and weeks of counting supposedly late-arriving ballots as totals are out there, to questions about some voting machines’ integrity, including election-day breakdowns. Even if voters can’t see the actual fraud, done under cover of darkness, all of these vulnerabilities cut confidence levels in elections.
The numbers from similar polls have been out for a while, of course. The SAVE America Act, which would eliminate many of these problems, has a reported 80 percent public support, including even a majority of Democrats, whose party controls the minority of states with no voter ID requirements. Most states, of course, and most nations, in fact, do.
This poll should increase pressure on Senate Democrats and their disgraceful RINO allies to pass the SAVE America Act, which had apparently been all set to go, except for the untimely death of Sen. Lindsey Graham.
Democrats, though, are continuing to fight a desperate rearguard action to stop it. I just found this set of talking points from a clearly leftist polling consultancy called Navigator Research on how Democrats should oppose election integrity measures — as inconveniences, as bans on voting, which California’s state secretary of state, Rob Bonta, clearly did in his sudden alteration in the wording of Proposition 39 on the California ballot to reduce it to a series of negative threats instead of a simple requirement for voter ID designed to ensure that the popular bill fails.
But even with this busybee effort by the Democrat machine polls, the polls show the popular support still there. It’s a can’t lose measure for politicians, and the only real obstacle to passing the SAVE America Act is the RINOs. That leaves it up to the other Republicans to step in and save the SAVE America Act. As Rasmussen shows, the public is with them.
