No one should be shocked that many leading Democrats (aka Commiecrats) who are still serving in Congress once enthusiastically wanted Americans to only vote with paper ballots.

In 2019, in the lead-up to the actual 2020 presidential campaign, Kamala Harris made several statements about the need for paper ballots. (Kamala dropped out before reaching even the first primary.)
• “The best and most secure way to conduct elections? Paper ballots. Cause the way that I say it, kind of half joking, Russia can’t hack a piece of paper.”
• “We have a bill that basically would require states to upgrade their election infrastructure because guess what? Going like back to the future, the best and smartest way to conduct voting? Paper ballots. Paper ballots. I joke and I say paper ballots because Russia can’t hack a piece of paper!”
• “The most secure way to vote? Paper. You’re right. And, you know…it would be great if the Republican leader would put these bills on the floor for a vote.”
In 2019, Harris was on The View and discussed the need for paper ballots. Whoopi Goldberg agreed: “And you said something, I have been saying forever and ever, and I’m going to say it in 45 seconds. You’ve been saying that it’s time for us to go back to paper ballots.”
Harris was campaigning on the need for paper ballots while fellow congressional Democrats were trying to make it happen. In May 2019, Democrat Oregon Senator Ron Wyden, along with 12 other senators, introduced a bill that would mandate the use of paper ballots in U.S. elections. The Protecting American Votes and Elections (PAVE) Act would also have banned all internet, Wi-Fi, and mobile connections to voting machines to limit the potential for cyber interference. Repeat, this was introduced by Democrats in 2019!
These are the Democrat senators who co-sponsored Senator Wyden’s bill. Hmmm, do you recognize any names?

Following Wyden’s PAVE Act announcement, Oregon Democrat Representative Earl Blumenauer announced that he would introduce a companion bill in the House.
The PAVE Act stalled in Congress (sound familiar?) just as today’s SAVE America Act appears to be going nowhere.
Multiple national polls show broad bipartisan support for voter ID requirements and other key aspects of the SAVE America Act. As a reminder, Republicans control both Houses of Congress, but the delay is in the Senate. The House has repeatedly passed the SAVE America Act.
Spineless Senate Majority Leader John Thune won’t get the popular SAVE America Act passed because the Senate is busy focusing on other important issues such as their upcoming long August recess. The Senate’s summer recess is scheduled to begin on August 10 and end on September 11, with Senators returning to session on September 14. When senators could not get Obamacare passed, then Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid threatened to cancel their Christmas recess. Guess what! Democrats got Obamacare passed.
Harry Reid died in 2021. Today, a dead Harry Reid would get more done in the U.S. Senate than living John Thune. But we should still contact the spineless Senator Thune to let him know that the Senate must pass the SAVE America Act:
