It’s probably exaggerated by those with perversions, but, supposedly, there’s a proliferation of gay-themed movies. Women are especially titillated by it all. Nielsen data indicate they are the preponderance of the audience for these off-putting offerings.

There’s probably some crackpot research tainted by leftist methodologies that rejoice in these viewing habits. But the so-called experts can’t be trusted. The commonsense reasoning is that women gravitate toward stories with light-in-the-loafers girly-men because they feel threatened by proper men. That’s why so many accuse them of being toxic, though we know where the noxious stench is really coming from.
Women use their pheromones and feminine wiles to entangle willing men, but let’s get straight — yep, straight — to the physical act of fornication itself. Whether consummated missionary style or with some exotic Tantric techniques, the woman is usually in a subservient position. Even if she climbs aboard, the male (forgive my explicitness) does the deed. That’s nature.
Here’s another issue haunting repressed feminist emotions. With all the illegal aliens on the animalistic prowl in our country, it is not always safe for women to go hiking or jogging alone. They are frequently reminded of the violence associated with the horrendous and horrific act of rape. That’s probably percolating around their subconscious mind as they indulge movie characters that are not threatening; indeed, that are probably more effeminate than they are.
I won’t hold my breath waiting for the social scientists to corroborate it, but I suspect that female attraction to soft men in movies “empowers” them, at least psychologically. The problem is the misandrists don’t wear it well.

In the meantime, normal viewers should be forewarned about unwholesome content.
Netflix, for example, does not include (last I tuned in about a month ago) specific thematic warnings for “LBQTG” content — not for individual movies in the main menu, anyway. That needs to change!
I’m sickened by shows that suddenly, and without regard to plot consistency, impose on viewers such unwelcome, same-sex exhibitionism. Often, there is simply no point other than to shove it in our faces, perhaps trying to inure hapless viewers by normalizing the perversions.
An added bonus: Women may also appreciate the “L….Q” searchable tags as they indulge in their next gay binge-watching party.
