Democrats board the crazy train in New York

Democrats found themselves surprised by the election result in New York’s primaries, where Democrat  voters chose extremists of the most repulsive sort over establishment-endorsed candidates, to win three New York primaries, driving their party to the farthest left it’s ever been.

According to the New York Post:

Democrats were shocked when a trio of anti-Israel, socialist candidates backed by Mayor Zohran Mamdani swept Tuesday’s New York House primary races, warning that their ascendance represents a changing of the guard for the party as voters embrace the far left.

“The roof is collapsing on the Democratic Party establishment tonight,” progressive political activist and CNN commentator Van Jones told Kaitlan Collins as election results rolled in.

“And you can’t write off New York City because this … is a power center for the establishment and the insurgency. And they’re going head to head tonight,” he said.

“And right now, this is no longer a movement. This is a movement and a machine at the same time. And there’s just no way to sugarcoat this: If Mamdani pulls off a hat trick, this is a new era in Democratic Party politics.”

It’s so bad the winners are from the kind of left that makes Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez look like a moderate.

They’re calling for the death of Western Civilization:

They’re using the American flag as a Handi-Wipe.

In the Post story, which the Post made sure got into the headlines, Sen. John Fetterman, the only moderate Democrat in Congress, memorably quoted this state of affairs as “the dancing days of the dirtbag left.”

It’s a whole new world, all right. Think tanker Chris Rufo is thinking what I was thinking — it’s a V.S. Naipaul world now here in the states:

The scene it calls to mind is that of the 9/11 hijackers surprised to find themselves waking up in Hell, as the Babylon Bee satire had it.

The question, though, is how did Democrats come to this state of affairs? Why did they swing so far to the extremist left?

One is that ActBlue was, according to congressional investigators, taking in foreign money — from the dirtbag left in other countries to get their favorites elected. They certainly wouldn’t donate to moderates. Why donate to moderates, when you can have the true crazies instead?

Two is that President Obama, with his masked far-left, third-world background, swung the party leftward with his divisive executive orders and fashion-friendly exterior. 

Three is that Democrats themselves created a jurassic club of insiders with a full party-discipline style, under House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, as well as through the rigging of primaries for DNC-chosen candidates. Recall the number they did on Bernie Sanders when he ran for president two times, with their superdelegates and manipulated results for Hillary Clinton in 2016. They admitted as much in their leaked emails. That tight-run ship showed cracks with the 2018 surprise election of Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez over an old-line party hack dinosaur who’d been in power too long. Like Obama, she was young and photogenic, but spewing all the sewage of socialism over the decades, all of it failed, and all of it presented again in a pretty wrapper as if it would work this time. Democrat voters went for it, knowing that the jurassics were the Democrat alternative.

The fourth problem was in the failures of schools and education:

Complete amnesia about the horrible history of socialism and all its failed promises.

Democrats did nothing to combat that, and indeed went along with any nutty idea the far left put in front of them — defund the police, tax the rich, surveil and censor the conservatives. 

Because they did nothing, they opened the door to the crazies coming in, and now the floodgate is opened. The addition of mass migration from hostile socialist and Islamist hellholes, rife with failed ideas from their homelands made it even worse, introducing antisemitism not seen since the Protocols of the Elders of Zion.

They did nothing to stop that, too. Now they are paying the piper. But what’s bad is that we all may pay the piper if heaven forbid, they take national power. It’s already obvious these bad trends which came from Obama’s and Pelosi’s tight little jurassic club are spreading — Democrats are raring to elect freaks in Maine and Michigan, and no amount of bad revelations about their pasts will stop these voters. Democrats are reaping what they’ve sown.
