In Sen. Elissa Slotkin’s (D-MI) now-famous interview on Fox News, where she warned young conservatives away from politics, we see the liberal bubble in action. Or is it the color revolution to dump Trump?

Or just a girl graduate of the CIA Color Revolution School fluffing her feathers?
I am shocked, shocked, how many prominent national women did their turn in the CIA or a CIA-adjacent NGO. It’s not just Slotkin. There’s Gov. Abigail Spanberger (D-VA). Avril Haines served as Deputy Director of the CIA, but I guess that doesn’t really count as spy service. Then there is NPR CEO Katherine Maher, who seems to have been involved in the color revolution craze in its Arab Spring phase, as Christopher Rufo mentions in his Maher piece,
The ostensible purpose of Color Revolutions… is to replace authoritarian regimes with Western liberal democracies. American and European intelligence services are often heavily involved in these revolutions, with ambitions not only to spread modern ideologies but also to undermine geopolitical opponents.
No doubt that was true of the Ukraine Maidan Revolution in 2014 on Obama’s watch. But here in the U.S. in 2026?
Grokipedia says:
Colour revolutions typically feature nonviolent mass mobilization against perceived electoral irregularities in semi-authoritarian regimes[.]
Just which party is usually associated in the minds of voters with “perceived electoral irregularities”?
Now, about those girl IC graduates, there is Kurt Schleicher’s take on the CIA from when he served in the armed forces:
With few exceptions, my experience with the Agency has been distinctly negative… The real ones pulling the triggers tend to be pretty cool. The rest of them? They’d fit in nicely at the rear of the bell curve at your local DMV.
I am sure that our girl IC graduates were all cool trigger pullers.
Then we have DataRepublican’s report on the IC’s developing color revolution right here in the U.S. She calls it “THE ILLEGITIMACY PLAYBOOK / THE DEMOCRACY FILES: A PRIMER.” Yes, there’s a whole cabal of the best and brightest all working to Get Trump.
So the question is: will the color revolution conspiracy revealed by DataRepublican actually try an insurrection after the election? Any idea, Sen. Slotkin?

Only, our so-called color revolutionaries are not revolutionaries. The “group of 1500 senior government, military, and NGO officials” of which you’ve heard tell are not planning a revolution. Revolution is the last thing they want. They are officials defending the current regime from the worldwide movement of the ordinary middle class — populist nationalism — that is threatening their power, their perquisites, and their privilege. They are counter-revolutionaries, or maybe reactionaries: your choice.
And the arrest of two “former senior FBI officials” for lying to Congress about the Hunter Biden laptop is sending a gentle message to all the conspirators: “don’t be like them.” Why, you could lose your pension, your security clearance, everything, and at the very least be bankrupted by lawyer fees like Rudy Giuliani.
I watched Brazil — the movie, not the stolen election — last night, just to remind myself what a bunch of incompetent bureaucrats look like. And they are cowards. There’s Sam Lowry’s boss Mr. Kurtzmann, a bully who is scared of his own shadow. The only thing that bothered me was that all the bureaucrats were Brit men wearing nice suits. Today they would all be women DEI administrators, and I am really feeling a hole in my heart where Brazil: Les Girls ought to be. Everything else is still up to date: the mostly peaceful protesters out a-bombing; the technological stasis; the useless politicians; the urban decay; the elite women obsessed with facelifts, clothes, and fancy dinners.
You know what lets me sleep at night? It is knowing that all our insurrectiony actors are, at bottom, incompetent bureaucrats.
“Big Balls” gives us the word from the foreword to DataRepublican’s Unelected.
Bureaucrats have no motivation to fix the machine; the only way to get fired in Washington is to take a risk and fail, so they do nothing.
Still, it would be fun if today’s bureaucrats were still struggling with the Rube Goldberg computers of Brazil.
Of course, I could be wrong. After the election, we might see France 2.0 here as regime-tolerated Antifa riots all over the place backed up by lower-class thugs out for a spot of looting. We may see Democrat governors bellowing that anyone who questions their exquisitely curated election results is Literally Hitler. We may see courageous congressional Democrats summoning Trump administration officials in relays up to Capitol Hill for nonstop show trials.
But it wouldn’t be a color revolution. It would be a rerun of Stalin’s Great Purge, or Mao’s Great Proletarian Cultural Revolution. It would be a regime cracking down on dissent because its programs and its governance were a failure, and the peasants were starting to rattle their pitchforks.
