CNBC is a business outlet whose reporters often attend Federal Reserve events, including the Q&A sessions following interest-rate decisions. They should be banned for their rude defiance of Chairman Kevin Warsh’s preferred designation.

Unlike most adherents of convoluted Fedspeak, Warsh has made it crystal clear that he wants to be referred to as “Chairman.” Indeed, CNBC publicly recognized this in an article titled “Call Kevin Warsh the Fed ‘chairman’.”

Occasionally, CNBC reporters get it right; however, much of the time they willfully disobey — not conscientiously, but rudely.  Here’re a few examples, of many more, in which CNBC reporters defiantly call Chairman Warsh “Chair.” Sometimes in the title, but usually in the main text:

“Markets after Nvidia and Warsh: Investors’ next move”

“Trump says he told Warsh to vote for hike with the rest of Fed board: ‘It’s not going to matter’”

“Fed Chair Warsh isn’t likely to do much of anything tomorrow…”

“Jackson Hole analyst roundup: Warsh’s speech sends hike chances higher, may put Fed ‘at odds’ with Treasury”

“Dollar and bond markets ‘on edge’ ahead of Jackson Hole as Bessent’s market intervention piles pressure on Warsh”

If I wanted to type ten pages of examples, I could, but you get the point: their woke conditioning is thorough.

When a disobedient Associated Press journalist referred to the Gulf of America as the Gulf of Mexico, Trump banned the uppity little lass from the Oval Office and Air Force One. It didn’t stick, but the process is sometimes more important than the final result. President Trump made his point.

In a similar vein, Warsh should ban reporters from his events when they insist on calling him “Chair” of the Federal Reserve. Even CNBC’s chief economist has conceded his preferred title is “Chairman” (first link above), so there’s no excuse other than obsequious obedience to gender-neutral feminism. Imagine the reverse: calling “Chair” Yellen “Chairman.” Never happen, at least not deliberately, defiantly, and incessantly.  They’d be called on the carpet, then sent to H.R. for sensitivity remediation, and coerced into enrolling in various DEI seminars.

A couple of the CNBC reporters who flout Warsh’s wishes have male names. Their organizational hierarchy must have browbeaten them into feminist compliance. Now they come across as emasculated eunuchs. If they take vitamins, I bet they are “Multivitamins for Her.” Take some testosterone injections, you weenies — that’s Chairman Warsh to you.
