Rahm Emanuel, former mayor of Chicago and self-described crisis opportunist has, in the print edition dated Friday 9/18/26 in the once venerable Wall Street Journal, his 21st recent op-ed. In his last paragraph he says that the “Midwest is as wholesome as social media is toxic.” Is not Chicago in the Midwest? Which time in history is he talking about? How much mayhem versus wholesomeness has become a regular part of life in the Windy City, once poetically praised by Carl Sandburg who, by the by, met with JFK in the Oval Office in October of 1961, because Democrats have a stranglehold on things?

Oh Camelot, can Rahm re-awaken the Democrat party idealism of 1960, or is he really just another propagandist of the here and now, grab what you can, fool who you will, with the solid back up and support of a lineup of, no longer so well camouflaged, grafters who put pensions for some above justice for all?

As we remember: when Rahm became President Obama’s Chief of Staff, in an interview in the same Wall Street Journal on November 19, 2008, he asserted, “You never want a serious crisis to go to waste. And what I mean by that [is] it’s an opportunity to do things that you think you could not do before.”

What does Rahm wish to do for us, or to us, now?  The Democrat party has done a great job, worthy of the best of Madison Avenue advertising agencies, to claim what is so-so, or worse, to be the greatest stuff ever. Public Service Unions do this all the time, despite the reality that multi-year contracts and guaranteed pensions neuter the votes of taxpayers by locking them in to honoring forever unsustainable promises with taxes that go up and up while public safety goes missing, and reading writing and arithmetic scores go down down down.

See Rahm Run, Run Rahm Run. Look though at what his party is producing and has produced, and contrast it with what they say they are doing. Like social justice: neither sociable nor just, rather subsidies for only a few on the monies taken at threat of prison from the many.
