December 6, 2025. Puyallup, WA. Sophomore Kallie Keeler, who had been wrestling since she was four, inspired by her four older wrestler brothers, took the mat against an unknown opponent. She knew less about that opponent than she thought, because “she” was “he,” a male pretending to be female.

What happened next is precisely why men have no business participating in women’s sports.

It didn’t take long before he pushed his fingers into Kallie’s vagina. Kallie froze. Video of the match showed her horrified, stunned expression. Not knowing what else to do, she let herself be pinned to end it.
Before she could tell her coach, a coach from an opposing team told her her rapist was a boy. Her coaches were told, but never got back with Kallie’s mother, who, two days later, emailed the coaches, who replied:
“I most certainly would not put Kallie on the mat if I thought she was competing with a male. I will investigate this and look to see if we have a video on our end. I will touch base with you either this afternoon or tomorrow morning after I do my due diligence.”
No due diligence was done. The coach, and no one else from the school, ever replied. It wasn’t until January 29 that the Keelers again emailed the school, which finally reported the crime to the local Sheriff—55 days after they were legally obligated to report, a crime with up to a year in jail and a $5000 fine.
A reading of the applicable Washington statutes makes clear the penetration Kallie experienced is sexual assault. When I last wrote on the case at my home blog in February, the school district and Sheriff were supposedly “investigating.”
The school has claimed they didn’t know there was a trans wrestler on another team, and that they would never have allowed the match to happen if they did, but WA law allows it and so does the school:
School authorities at Emerald Ridge High School had been told by at least two dozen female athletes that the presence of boys in their locker room made them uncomfortable, but apparently did nothing:
In the meantime, Kallie’s mother wasn’t waiting for her daughter to be attacked again:
Alliance Defending Freedom announced Thursday, exclusively to OutKick, that it filed an emergency motion on behalf of K.M.K. and her mother, Stephanie Brown. The filing asks the appeals court to act by Sept. 25 and challenge policies enforced by the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association (WIAA), the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction and the Puyallup School District.
…U.S. District Judge David Castillo denied their request for a preliminary injunction on Aug. 23.

Brown and K.M.K. appealed on Aug. 25 and asked Castillo to protect K.M.K. while the appeal moved forward. When he denied that request on Aug. 31, ADF took the case to the Ninth Circuit.
The coach’s reaction has been essentially: “Hey, that’s wrestling.”
A subsequent district investigation allegedly acknowledged that the opponent likely touched K.M.K.’s private parts with force, causing her discomfort. But when Castillo denied the preliminary injunction, he did not describe the incident as an assault.
Instead, he ruled that the family had not shown K.M.K. faced a sufficiently likely risk of being harmed again under the legal standard for emergency relief.
State athletic and education officials have not responded to Brown.
ADF argues that forcing K.M.K. to compete against biological males, or making her give up her season if she refuses, violates Brown’s constitutional parental rights under Mirabelli v. Bonta. The attorneys also argue that the policy denies K.M.K. equal athletic opportunity under Title IX.

The filing cites the Supreme Court’s ruling in West Virginia v. B.P.J., in which the justices recognized that biological differences can create particularly serious safety risks in girls’ contact sports and place female athletes at a competitive disadvantage.
Brown and ADF want the Ninth Circuit to prevent officials from forcing K.M.K. to wrestle a biological male. At minimum, Brown wants advance notice and the ability to remove her daughter from any such match.
Once again—still—we see that Democrats’ supposed concern for women is a sham. Remember the “Republican war on women?” Mania for the Trans Superiority Narrative has made that disappear, and Democrats have displayed their contempt for the safety of girls and women, and their utter disdain for fair play in women’s sports.
The trans wrestler has not been identified and has apparently not been charged, nor have school authorities who violated Washington’s reporting law. Callie has no doubt it was rape, not a momentary touch immediately withdrawn.
But hey, that’s wrestling in Washington—if you’re female and your opponent is male.
