I saw a story this morning at the New York Post, which included some extremely graphic CCTV stills of a crime scene. Though the victim was blurred out, you could see a black man holding a blade (which turned out to be a meat cleaver), with his arm raised above another man, who was bent over—either the victim had already been stabbed and keeled over, or he had his head down and was completely unaware of what was about to befall him. There was another still, this time showing the victim crumpled on the ground, with his blood spattered all across the laundromat floor.

The victim, Jose Miranda, a 45-year-old father of two with an honest job (he worked as a barber), had been hacked to death by career criminal Clarence Woodward—who had around 30 arrests on his rap sheet before the killing. (Woodward stabbed another man in the laundromat too, but that victim seems to have survived.)
Well, apparently Woodward died in jail earlier this week while awaiting his trial. My thoughts? Good riddance, and truly, thank God—it’s like Toby Keith sang: “We got too many gangsters doing dirty deeds…send them all to their Maker and He’ll settle ‘em down.”
Zohran Mamdani’s take on Woodward’s death though? Deep sadness. Literally. Here’s what he said:

No mention of Jose whatsoever, which naturally, caused Jose’s family great distress, calling the X post a “slap in the face” and a “terrible” take. Yet, in an act of graciousness to which I cannot relate, Jose’s own mother stated that because of her Christian faith, she did not wish to speak badly about Woodward, because she leaves “everything in God’s hands.”
Leftists, especially ones like Mamdani, will often embrace the same “good riddance” attitude I have, though it’s only reserved for the deaths of…political opponents. Rush Limbaugh… Charlie Kirk… Lindsey Graham… etc. So what does that say about the criminals they mourn? Well, the criminals are the opposite of political opponents to the left… meaning they’re political allies.
I mean, that’s nothing new or groundbreaking, but it’s always sobering to be reminded of it.
