Former First Lady Jill Biden oh-so-casually tossed out a conspiracy theory the other day: that someone spiked Joe Biden’s drink before his disastrous debate with President Trump in June of 2024.

Jill Biden won’t rule out Joe’s drink being “laced” before his debate with Trump:

Remember during Trump 1.0 when “without evidence” was a favorite phrase of the fake news? Everything Trump said, no matter how objectively or evidentially true, was tagged “without evidence.”

Well, girlfriend here is utterly “without evidence,” and moreover, she’s throwing the Secret Service under the bus in service of her desperate lie. However, this wouldn’t be the first time the Bidens have treated the Secret Service shabbily.

Here’s Ronald Kessler from his 2014 book The First Family Detail:

Agents say that, whether at the vice president’s residence or at his home in Delaware, Biden has a habit of swimming in his pool nude. Female Secret Service agents find the behavior offensive.

Ew.

Chris Plante, the 9 am-Noon host on WMAL radio, has told the story several times that he heard from sources that every time Biden showed up nude, the agents spoke into the mics on their wrists that “cobra, cobra” was out.

Again, ew.

You’d think, given the Bidens’ German Shepherds’ (both of them, mostly Commander but also Major) proclivity towards chomping on anything protruding, that ol’ Joe might be more protective of his privates, but I guess not. Recall, the dogs were logged 24 times biting Secret Service agents’ arms and legs with varying degrees of severity, up to and including stitches and a visit to the hospital.

If I were Jill Biden, I think I’d be more grateful than spiteful towards my Secret Service detail given all they’ve endured.

If anyone deserves to be spiteful towards the Secret Service for real, provable, demonstrated failures to protect, it’s President Trump, who has been notably magnanimous. I would argue magnanimous to a fault. Nobody was fired after Butler, though the then-Director, Kimberly Cheatle, resigned, which, frankly, was the least that should have happened.

The current director, Sean Curran, was one of the agents at Trump’s side when he raised his fist above his bloody shirt collar and said “Fight, fight, fight” in the immediate aftermath. At the time of the shooting, he was the Special Agent in Charge. How one gets a promotion after such a catastrophic failure is a mystery to me, given the now-known logistical and operational gaps in their protection plan, but here we are.

The contrast couldn’t be clearer: the only blood spilled vis-à-vis the Bidens and the Secret Service was the Secret Service’s due to Biden’s dogs. The blood spilled vis-à-vis Trump and the Secret Service was Trump’s due to a bullet the Secret Service failed to protect him from.

But there’s Jill Biden, safe and sound, spinning conspiracy theories about her demented husband. And the press? Where are they in all of this?

Couldn’t be less curious. Because “Trump bad” and “Bidens good,” so around and around we go, blood-stained shirts notwithstanding.

X screen grab.
