I’ve lived long enough to remember when Democrats, and certainly no Democrat politicians, would have thought that transing kids was a “kitchen table” issue. I’ve also lived long enough to know they’ve pretty much always thought that about abortion. I’ve also lived long enough to remember when no Democrat politician would have ever expressed disdain for our military and certainly would never have denigrated the sacrifice of military members who died for us.

NewsBusters reported:

Eugene Daniels Says Dems Should Focus On Kitchen Table Issues Like Trans Kids

Even by the low standards of MS NOW, senior Washington correspondent Eugene Daniels’s Thursday appearance on Chris Jansing Reports was a stellar example of how not to do journalism. Daniels’s title suggests that the network views him as a reporter, but he decided to go full activist. According to him, Democrats need “to be more comfortable with power” and that the party needs to focus more on “kitchen table issues,” which he somehow defined as abortion and gender transitioning children.

Reacting to the DNC’s autopsy, Jansing read a portion aloud that suggested Democrats’ problem is that they are just too smart for the electorate, “They claim Republicans are just better at politics. Quote, ‘At times it seems Democrats are trying to win arguments while Republicans are focused on winning elections. Democrats operate in an ecosystem defined by reason, even in cycles when the electorate is defined by rage.’ What should Democrats do with that?”

The party of raw emotion, rage, hatred, violence, the “Summer of Love,” and assassination is “defined by reason?!”

Daniels began his response by declaring, “They should be more comfortable with the idea of power. And this is something that Democrats have been saying. I’ve talked to Chuck about this in the past, the idea that at the end of the day, if you are not in office, you can’t do anything. And when you talk about winning hearts and minds, that is very important.”…

Either Daniels is a textbook example of self-delusion, or he’s a particularly poor liar. Either he’s a terribly poor political observer, or he really thinks Democrats will win hearts and minds by beating Normal Americans—mostly but not entirely Republicans—about the head and shoulders over abortion and transing kids. Those are topics that just aren’t talked about nearly enough by Democrats and that Normal Americans would rather not have to talk about at all.

And Shelby Campbell, who is a Democrat running for Congress in the 13th District in Michigan, thinks she’s “provocative:”

Quit thanking the troops for sacrificing their lives. Let’s start saying, ‘Hey Government, how about you go fight these wars if you decide.’

I don’t want to thank these men and women who join the military because they had no other option. Like, they didn’t want to go to school. They didn’t have the resources. They don’t have the knowledge. They don’t have people to like, love them. And, [yawning] they go into the military. Military preys on more rural populations.

She released that just in time for Memorial Day. It’s reminiscent of the oafish John Kerry who, in 2006, told a group of college students:

“[If] you make an effort to be smart, you can do well. If you don’t, you get stuck in Iraq.”

He quickly issued a “I’m sorry if you were offended” grade pseudo-apology. Campbell, apparently thinking herself edgy, has not, but did delete the post. To be fair, she’s only expressing what the mainstream of the Democrat Party—that’s most of it—thinks.

Therein lies the Democrat problem: they don’t think, act, or behave like Normal Americans. They lack the empathy or the will to understand what at least half the country believes. Their idea of “dialogue” or “conversation” is to demand one and then scream: “Shut up, you racist!”

That’s why no Democrat “autopsy” of the 2024 election is going to help them. James Carville recently suggested Democrats should quit talking about things like packing the Supreme Court. Instead, they should do whatever is necessary to get elected, then just do it.

Should Democrats suddenly change their tune, as some, like James Talarico in Texas have done, when he denied ever having said anything about being a vegan despite video of him saying just that. Even depicting himself wearing a Texas flag shirt while chomping on a big chunk of barbecue won’t help, because Normal Americans understand he, like most Democrats, is lying because his BBQ-smeared lips are moving.

Democrats are going to do anything to regain and eternally keep power. They’ll do what they’ve always done: lie, cheat, and steal, and now, assassinate the opposition. Who is going to believe them when they suddenly do a 180 on previously sacred Democrat policies?

No sane American.
