What a question.  It sounds arrogant and futile and silly, like asking what to wear to a pogrom.

However, there is some precedent.  Bill Clinton was the president of the United States in 1994, serving his first term in office.  Coming up were the midterm elections, to be held on November 8, 1994.

On September 27, 1994, 367 Republican candidates for the House of Representatives gathered at the West Front steps of the U.S. Capitol to sign a political manifesto, which was orchestrated by then–minority whip Newt Gingrich and Rep. Dick Armey.

The event galvanized a unified campaign with priorities such as cutting taxes, shrinking the federal government, welfare reform, term limits, and a balanced budget amendment.  It successfully nationalized the 1994 midterm elections.  Republicans ultimately gained 54 seats in the House and 8 seats in the Senate, breaking the Democrats’ 40-year majority in the House.

Now, what can the Jewish liberal and conservative organizations do?

To begin with, unify and set aside their differences and, in a show of strength, invite bipartisan and interfaith legislators, columnists, and supporters of Israel to join them on the steps of the Capitol to denounce antisemitism.

Most important, remind recalcitrant Jewish organizations that the gates of Auschwitz, Bergen-Belsen, and all the other concentration camps had no litmus test for politics and were open for all Jews, regardless of their politics or conversion.

In Russia, the tsars, like Alexander III and Nicholas II, promoted the “May Laws,” which restricted where Jews of any political stripe could live and where they could hold jobs or congregate or study.  And their pogroms encouraged mob violence and dislocation against all Jewish communities, whose only agenda was survival.

That should focus their woozy minds a bit.

Can one imagine the impact?

The Anti-Defamation League has documented, in a credible audit, a rise of antisemitic incidents: In 2025, physical assaults were higher than ever before and constitute an average of 17 incidents per day, which marked the third highest total since ADL tracking began in 1979.

Can you imagine the impact if Jonathan Greenblatt, who serves as the CEO and national director of the ADL, abandoned everything else but Jewish survival, standing in solidarity with Mort Zuckerman of the Zionist Congress of America?

Rabbi Rick Jacobs serves as the head of the Reform movement.  He is the president of the Union for Reform Judaism (URJ), the congregational arm that represents the largest Jewish religious movement in the United States.  Can he and his organization protest with MAGA attendees?

Or would the United Jewish Appeal, which has a “Green Line” cutting Israel to 1947 lines, stand with Americans for a Safe Israel?

And, in the face of raging antisemitism, could not Nancy Pelosi, whose father was former Maryland congressman and Baltimore mayor Thomas D’Alesandro, Jr., who was a staunch advocate for the Zionist movement and the creation of a Jewish state, ally with John Fetterman or Ritchie Torres, an American politician serving as the U.S. representative for New York’s 15th, a loyal and vocal supporter of Israel?

I know.  I know.  Would Rosa Luxemburg, the Polish Marxist revolutionary who founded the Communist Party of Germany (KPD), smile at a modern Theodore Herzl?

Ultimately, she died as a parenthesis in history, but Theodore Herzl survived and became one of the notable founders of Zionism.

Who would be the leaders with the cojones to go to the Capitol steps with the agenda to stand against the hatred of Jews?

We are all threatened, including the ignorant parents and progeny of the Jewish useful idiots, who, like puppets, repeat libels and genocidal chants.
