Israel is unlike every other country in the world. Historically surrounded by hostile Islamist regimes dedicated to murdering every Jew, the Israelis engage in what might be considered suicidal empathy. They provide jobs, food, water, and medical care for the very people trying to obliterate Israel. They regularly patch up jihadists and set them free, even though those jihadists repay them by continuing to kill Jews.

Even after October 7, the greatest mass slaughter of Jews since the Holocaust, Israel, unlike any other nation, did its best to avoid unnecessary civilian casualties, even though most of those civilians supported Hamas and other Islamist savages. The aphorism that most Muslims don’t want to kill infidels and Jews but want other Muslims to do it is certainly accurate.
And now, the very people who want Israel obliterated are calling foul because Israel doesn’t want them back inside the country:
But still, I can think of no inherent reason why, other than culture, that Palestinians in the Middle East are such a poisonously dangerous population, but there is not one Arab country that wants anything to do with them, and for good reasons. They destroy every place where they congregate.
Ask the Jordanians. The Lebanese. The Egyptians. The Palestinian “refugees” from the war have all wound up in European countries too stupid to defend themselves against any threat. They are stupid enough to take in Syrians, Pakistanis, and Afghans as well, and have lived to regret it.
Since the West Bank and Gaza are terrible places to do any business, largely because the “governing” bodies are horrifically corrupt and only interested in graft and jihad, Palestinians get work in Israel. Or did, until October 7th, when many of the people welcomed into Israel to work turned out to have been spies who helped develop the intelligence necessary to commit the atrocities of that day.

Yes, it’s a real mystery why the Israelis wouldn’t want the Palestinians back inside Israel. It’s a real quandary for the Palestinians, too. They want to make enough money to live decently, but they can’t do that in Gaza or the West Bank because their leaders are corrupt monsters who want to fill their numbered Swiss accounts and, most of all, want to finish what Hitler started.
Also getting in the way of decent, prosperous lives is their own desire for genocide.
From the perspective of Western elites, the role of Jews is to provide aid and succor to their sworn enemies, and have the decency to die when they are told.

Western Europeans are the worst of the lot, and transnationalists in America are about as bad. And after the massive propaganda campaign that has successfully labeled the Gaza war as a “genocide,” many ordinary Americans sympathize with the bloodthirsty Palestinians as well.

Not surprisingly, Israelis have decided they’d rather employ Thai, Chinese and Indians instead.🤷♂️
The New Yorker whines that the Palestinian ban “is being justified in the name of security and shows no signs of abating,” as though that’s a self-evident Israeli lie. Yet Hamas and Hezbollah continue to maintain and dig terror tunnels and rearm as quickly as they can, while continuing to attack Israel at every opportunity.
Gad Saad calls the impulse to defend people who declare themselves enemies of our civilization “suicidal empathy,” and surely there is much truth in that diagnosis. But I think that only captures one variable; many supporters of Palestinians quite consciously want our civilization to fall. They approve of the violence as it is a necessary component to their larger agenda.
And so it is. Many American leftists can’t bring themselves to say Israel has a right to exist or that Jews have the right to individual and national self-defense. In refusing to extend to Israelis the same unalienable rights they demand for themselves, they reveal their hypocrisy and antisemitic bloodlust.
Even so, there remains in Israel a powerful suicidal empathy imperative, which, for the moment, is keeping a relatively low profile. But just as many Americans have no memory of 9/11, it won’t be long before many Israelis have no memory of October 7, and the borders will be opened yet again to monsters who want to rape, mutilate, and murder every Jew.
Gaza could be rebuilt and could be prosperous on tourism alone, but the Palestinians want prosperity and peace much less than they want the blood of Jews. For now, Israel understands that.
