As to be expected, proven harridan Rachel Maddow trashed our country’s  250th birthday celebration. How predictably boring and childish, with all the intellectual content of a high school “slam book.” Such a 20th-century  analog effort may be lost in this century’s era of digital bullying, but the intent in either medium is simple: I am so smart my nasty comments to my immature followers must have great impact.

This is part of her black-hearted dystopian diatribe, via a HuffPost report:

‘I mean, 49 years and 363 days from now, if and when we hit our 300th anniversary as a country, I’m telling you — whatever media we have then will be looking back at us,’ Maddow said. ‘They’ll be looking back at this 250th anniversary.’

She went on to argue that the fireworks and U.S. military flyover Saturday ‘proved to be the only thing’ the federal government under Trump was “capable of pulling off’ for the 250th anniversary.

For context, her reported annual salary is $25,000,000, or a weekly salary of  $480,769,  so doing the math under her MSNBC contract, Rachel Maddow earns approximately $9,615 per minute of airtime.

Rachel, there was no incident of ugly violence or terrorism during our 250 Birthday party. Consequently, rather than giving any weight to her snide condemnation, a heartfelt thanks should be extended to all our National Guard protectors guarding at the nation’s capital during a time of war. A very profound thanks should ring out nationwide for the men and women in the National Guard walking sentry duty, because they did a fantastic job.

She blew by the tremendous contribution of the Guard. If she were a real hard news journalist, perhaps her “ready fire aim” opinion would have had some respect for those at risk keeping us safe.

Two national stories tell us that—one last year during the holiday season, and the other in May this year. The first incident was a deadly shooting, perpetrated by an Afghan national:

On Wednesday, November 26, 2025, a gunman walked up to Specialist Beckstrom and two other guardsmen and opened fire around 2:15 p.m. While he was standing over one of the guardsmen, preparing to shoot again, another guardsman returned fire, striking the gunman.

The second incident was a quick reaction force of National Guardsmen near the National Mall responding to the sound of nearby gunshots just last month:

‘We were positioned at the corner of 14th Street and Constitution (May 7 2026) when we heard the gunshots,’ said U.S. Army Sgt. Lionel Duplessis, a combat medic from the Mississippi National Guard. “Once shots were here, we sprinted towards the scene.’

‘We’re very proud of Sgt. Lionel Duplessis,’ said U.S. Army Col. Larry Doane, commander of Joint Task Force – District of Columbia. ‘I’m proud of the entire team and continually amazed by our Guardsmen who run towards danger to take care of their teammates, and most importantly, the citizens we’re here to defend.’

Many reading this will be gone for our 300th birthday celebration, but many military families’ children and grandchildren will always remember their loved ones kept us safe during this 250th unique celebration of our blessed land of the free and home of the brave; some, like Sarah Beckstrom, gave their lives for all with a base salary of under $4,000 per month.

Please give the men and women in uniform thanks before lightweight trash-talking.
