I’ve been warning about the very real danger of terrorist attacks in America by sleeper cells of jihadists and members of the Chinese military, most recently in March of this year in Terrorism: arm up. An excerpt:

We know, thanks to Joe Biden’s handlers, there are tens of thousands of potential terrorists in the country. They’re unvetted, unidentified, and we have no idea where most are. The FBI doesn’t have agents in every city. They’re not going to respond to a terrorist attack at the local grocery store until long after the victims have assumed room temperature. Local police will respond, but not until many innocents are dead or wounded. So, who will make the difference? Who will save lives when terrorists attack?
Armed, even mostly disarmed, Normal Americans.
During the Biden years, when the borders were wide open, there were periodic reports of fit, military-age Chinese males crossing the southern border. No one leaves China without the permission of the Communist Party, and they probably didn’t swim to Mexico. They’re not that fit. We weren’t told then, and don’t know now, what happened to them, but we can be certain there are thousands in America. Don’t get me started on how many Muslim jihadists are here. They’re not here for the fast food, Buc–ees, the World Cup soccer matches, or Springsteen concerts.
With the Trump II Administration, border security is a priority, and our borders are largely closed. “Largely,” because it’s impossible to completely close them, and there are surely some leakers, particularly when they’re state-sponsored and with missions in mind, determined to get in. That didn’t work out so well recently for some 25 Chinese:

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announced on Wednesday that on June 10, a crew with Coast Guard Station Miami Beach approached a vessel that failed to comply with orders to stop. It was about a mile south of Key Biscayne, Fla.
The Coast Guard fired warning shots, and the vessel did not heed the warning, so the Coast Guard fired shots to disable the engine. No one was injured on either side. The Coast Guard seized the vessel and towed it to the station, where U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and Air and Marine Operations (AMO) personnel stepped in to assist with the interdiction.
So, what was on board? Only 25 Chinese nationals who were, apparently, attempting to enter the United States illegally. The reason why they were trying to get into the United States — because you never know with the Chinese — is under investigation.
Actually, we pretty much do know. The article doesn’t specify the male-female ratio of the Chinese, but I suspect it’s mostly, if not completely, military-age, fit males.

Something else worth noting is that under Joe Biden, there was a bit of an explosion in the number of Chinese nationals attempting to get into the United States illegally. The number went from 450 in 2021 to 2,176 in 2022 to over 24,000 in 2023. By mid-2024, the first half of the year had already surpassed 2023’s numbers. Under Biden, the Chinese became the largest non-Latin American demographic attempting to sneak over our borders.
Of course, those numbers fell significantly in 2025, but this Wednesday announcement just proves that these sophisticated smuggling networks and the incentive to come to the United States haven’t changed much.
Nor has the hostility of the Chinese leadership, which plays the long game, toward America much changed. It’s possible these 25 Chinese somehow managed to slip out of China and had the money and other resources necessary to reach the Bahamas—did they fly? Travel by ship? Swim?–and obtain a small boat. The size of the boat depicted suggests they didn’t have far to travel to get to Florida—did they travel from Communist Cuba?–which further suggests rather more planning than luck. And as good and dedicated as the Coast Guard is, it’s a small force that can’t cover every square mile of a very large ocean and American coastline. Until recently, Democrats defunded them. Luck played a role in their capture.
Even should the DHS be able to get to the truth about them, it’s unlikely we’ll ever be told their reasons for trying to get into the country, and that’s probably as it should be. Still, that’s a jarring reminder just how many malign forces want America conquered, neutered, and Americans dead.
Attributed to Thomas Jefferson is the sentiment that the price of liberty is eternal vigilance. Combine that with armed and situationally aware Americans, and we might just have a future, even if Democrats do seize power again.
