It’s time for another installment of “Has Everyone Gone Crazy?”
I just posted one recently, you say? That’s as may be, but there is a staggering amount of insanity about these days. So, anyway:

In Oregon, the People for the Elimination of Animal Cruelty Exemptions (PEACE) have proposed the so-called PEACE Act, otherwise known as Initiative Petition 28, which would make it illegal to kill an animal for any reason other than self-defense.
And to get people to sign off on the act, they are asking them if they “want to help save animals.”
That’s like starting a petition to ban breathing by asking folks if they’d like to help reduce carbon dioxide levels in the atmosphere.
Initiative Petition 28 would make it a crime to kill any animal — and a felony sex crime to artificially inseminate a cow.
Not kidding.
It would also lead to hunger and higher food prices, as it would effectively ban sport and commercial fishing, hunting — and raising animals for meat, dairy, eggs, wool, etc.

What, to “PEACE,” qualifies as an “animal?”
Apparently almost every living thing. Would Oregonians be allowed to swat a hornet? Kill a spider, mosquito, tick? Spray for termites?
Can you say “slippery slope?”
Of course this “initiative” won’t ever be enacted as law … or will it?
But it does illustrate that the leftist whackos never stop pushing and prodding, never give up. What we thought was “extreme” or crazy just a few short years ago seems almost quaint. Seemingly every week something more outrageous, bizarre, and sinister pops up. Because the crazies are never fully reproached or stopped.
This ticks me off. In fact, I can’t bear it. But don’t have a cow. (You won’t be able to if insane and destructive proposals like this should ever be enacted into law.) We must channel our inner lion and push back against horse-bleep ideas like this. And keep pushing. We aren’t all batsh*t crazy yet.
As someone once said, “There’s a place in this world for all of God’s creatures.” That is certainly true. Right next to the mashed potatoes and gravy.
