{"id":6114,"date":"2026-09-11T17:57:06","date_gmt":"2026-09-11T17:57:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/interstatelogisticshubs.com\/?p=6114"},"modified":"2026-09-11T17:57:06","modified_gmt":"2026-09-11T17:57:06","slug":"guess-who-is-walking-around-with-those-us-weapons","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/interstatelogisticshubs.com\/?p=6114","title":{"rendered":"Guess who is walking around with those US weapons?"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p>Sorry to spoil your morning coffee, but let\u2019s recall that terrible day when thirteen\u00a0U.S. soldiers were killed in Afghanistan.\u00a0 Remember that day when President Biden back in 2021 decided to walk away and leave a ton of military equipment behind?\u00a0 It was bad, really bad.<\/p><p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/interstatelogisticshubs.com\/?p=6111\">An ode to communism?<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Well, whatever happened to those weapons anyway?\u00a0 Many of us predicted that they\u2019d fall in the hands of the bad guys.\u00a0 Here is one story I found over at BBC, proving how right we were:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Half a million weapons obtained by the Taliban in Afghanistan have been lost, sold or smuggled to militant groups, sources have told the BBC &#8211; with the UN believing that some have fallen into the hands of al-Qaeda affiliates.<\/p>\n<p>The Taliban took control of around one million weapons and pieces of military equipment &#8211; which had mostly been funded by the US &#8211; when it regained control of Afghanistan in 2021, according to a former Afghan official who spoke to the BBC anonymously.<\/p>\n<p>As the Taliban advanced through Afghanistan in 2021, many Afghan soldiers surrendered or fled, abandoning their weapons and vehicles.
