{"id":610,"date":"2026-06-02T15:10:59","date_gmt":"2026-06-02T15:10:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/interstatelogisticshubs.com\/?p=610"},"modified":"2026-06-02T15:10:59","modified_gmt":"2026-06-02T15:10:59","slug":"the-dirtiest-words-in-foreign-policy-speech","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/interstatelogisticshubs.com\/?p=610","title":{"rendered":"The dirtiest words in foreign policy speech"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p>The dirtiest words in foreign policy speech are \u201cceasefire\u201d and \u201carmistice.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>They never end hostilities, and they leave tyrants in place.\u00a0\u00a0They abandon a nation\u2019s dissidents and lay off authorities that target civilians.<\/p><p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/interstatelogisticshubs.com\/?p=609\">What you really see when you look at Kamala Harris<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Alas, our president has fallen into that trap with confusing messages while Iran executes protesters and citizens who are\u00a0non-compliant with sharia law.<\/p>\n<p>History should be instructive.\u00a0\u00a0World War II ended when Japan surrendered aboard the USS <em>Missouri<\/em> in Tokyo Bay on September 2, 1945 \u2014 a twenty-three-minute ceremony, officially managed by General Douglas MacArthur, followed by representatives from China, the United Kingdom, the Soviet Union, Australia, Canada, France, the Netherlands, and New Zealand.<\/p>\n<p>Japan became a peaceful democracy.\u00a0\u00a0And that was the last time a major war ended with surrender.<\/p>\n<h1>The Korean War, June 25, 1950\u2013July 27, 1953<\/h1>\n<p>Following the Russo-Japanese War, Korea was made a Japanese protectorate in 1910.\u00a0\u00a0Japan surrendered Korea as part of the terms of the end of World War II, and the peninsula was partitioned at the 38th\u00a0parallel into the Russia-controlled North and the America-controlled South.<\/p>\n<p>On June 25, 1950, heavily armed North Korean troops crossed the parallel, reaching far into the south.<\/p>\n<p>Counter-offenses on both sides ended with a brokered armistice, signed on July 27,\u00a01953, leaving a demilitarized boundary roughly near the 38th\u00a0parallel, leaving in place the brutal and savage Kim dynasty, which remains today.\u00a0\u00a0The present Kim is a dangerous participant in global threats.<\/p>\n<h1>The Suez Crisis, 1956<\/h1>\n<p>After months of threatening rhetoric, on July 26, 1956, Egyptian president Gamal Abdel Nasser announced the nationalization of the Suez Canal Company, ending the control of the British-French association, which had operated the Suez Canal since its construction in 1869.<\/p>\n<p>The British and French held secret military consultations with Israel, continually threatened by Nasser with crude, racist, and militant tantrums.\u00a0\u00a0Israeli forces attacked across Egypt\u2019s Sinai Peninsula on October 29, 1956, advancing to within 10 miles of the Suez Canal.\u00a0\u00a0Britain and France landed troops of their own a few days later.<\/p><p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/interstatelogisticshubs.com\/?p=606\">How did the Jewish hostages survive Hamas?<\/a><\/p>\n<p>President Eisenhower pressured Israel, Britain, and France to accept a ceasefire on November 6 and acceded to a U.N. resolution condemning the invasion.<\/p>\n<p><span>That invigorated Nasser\u2019s reputation, giving him time to plan the war in 1967.<\/span><\/p>\n<h1>1967 War, June 5\u201310<\/h1>\n<p>Six months before June, Israeli intel reported increasing cooperation among Egypt, Syria, and Jordan, with a variety of mutual defense pacts, cooperation treaties, and high-level meetings.<\/p>\n<p>Further intel revealed a heavy Egyptian military buildup, the withdrawal of the U.N. peacekeeping forces, and closure of the Straits of Tiran, which occasioned a\u00a0<span>pre-emptive Israeli attack<\/span>,\u00a0which destroyed nearly the entire Egyptian, Jordanian, and Syrian air forces on the ground.<\/p>\n<p>The Six-Day War ended on June 10, 1967, when a United Nations\u2013brokered ceasefire took effect to halt the fighting between Israel and the Arab coalition of Egypt, Jordan, and Syria.<\/p>\n<h1>The Yom Kippur War, October 6\u201326, 1973<\/h1>\n<p>This attack was launched on Yom Kippur, the holiest day in the Jewish calendar, catching Israel\u2019s military and intelligence apparatus off guard.<\/p>\n<p>After initial devastating losses in lives and national confidence, Israel rebounded, successfully crossed the Suez Canal, pushed Syrian forces to the outskirts of Damascus, and surrounded the Egyptian Third Army.<\/p>\n<p>The U.N.
