\u201cIt is a report showing a resilient economy, a rising labor force, steady wage gains, and an industrial base beginning to respond to the combined force of tariffs, tax cuts, deregulation, and reshoring.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Start with the headline:\u00a0“Payroll gains of 162,000 are strong in any economy. They are especially strong in a secure-border economy. \u201d<\/p>\n

The big winner in this latest report is manufacturing. \u00a0Yes, you heard me right about manufacturing:<\/p>\n

\u201c\u00a0Manufacturing employment rose by 16,000 in August, with nearly all of that gain coming from durable-goods manufacturing, which added 15,000 jobs. So far this year, manufacturing employment is up 58,000, driven by a 94,000-job gain in durable goods. Machinery and fabricated metals have been particular bright spots. \u201d<\/p>

We heard for years that our manufacturing sector was dead or a thing of the past. No more. The sound of machinery is that of someone making something. It\u2019s modern manufacturing, but it\u2019s still someone making something in the US.<\/p>\n

We are reversing industrial decay and reviving all of those towns devastated by one-sided trade deals.<\/p>\n
