They lie. Democracy, and particularly a constitutional republic, is incompatible with Socialism and Communism, which are merely slightly different shades of the same evil ideology.<\/p>\n

Socialism is Communism lite. It\u2019s all the economic damage, all the societal collapse, all the misery,\u00a0oppression, and death with fewer calories, because no one can get enough to eat except the leadership class. Democratic Socialists, the DSA, won\u2019t kill you, but they will cancel you, deprive you of your career and of all choices about your life, \u201credistribute\u201d your money, deprive you of healthcare, bankrupt you, and imprison you. Until, that is, they have sufficient control over government, which is when they go full Communist. Then, they\u2019ll kill you in \u201creeducation\u201d or labor camps, or they may just go full Chinese Communist, shoot you in the back of the head, and bill your survivors\u2014if they haven\u2019t already killed them\u2014for the cartridge.<\/p>\n

Fortunately, at least some Republican leaders know the truth and aren\u2019t afraid to say it:<\/p>\n

\n

\u201cThese are not social Democrats,\u201d President Donald Trump said on June 26. \u201cThese are hardcore, godless\u00a0Communists.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI, unfortunately, fear that\u2019s the direction the Democrats are headed. And it is\u00a0communism,\u201d Vice President JD Vance\u2026<\/p>\n

Responding to the\u00a0DSA\u2019s platform\u00a0on July 26,\u00a0U.S. House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., warned: \u201cCommunism\u00a0is no longer a\u00a0far-fetched\u00a0threat.\u00a0It is here on our SHORES!\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

\r\nAnd so it is:<\/p>\n

\u201cOur goal is Communism,\u201d David Jenkins, a member of DSA\u2019s National Political Committee, said in 2023.<\/p>\n

DSA member\u00a0Cea Weaver\u00a0is New York City\u2019s tenant tsarina.\u00a0She posted via X\u00a0in December 2017, \u201cElect more\u00a0communists.\u201d\u00a0The next year, she demanded: \u201cSeize private\u00a0property.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

And why should we care about what Cea Weaver said in 2017?<\/p>\n

Weaver\u2019s boss is Mayor\u00a0Zohran\u00a0Mamdani. In his Jan. 1 inaugural address, he stated: \u201cI was elected as a democratic socialist,\u00a0and I will govern as a\u00a0democratic socialist.\u201d\u00a0He\u00a0told a DSA Zoom call in 2021:\u00a0The\u00a0\u201cend goal\u201d should be \u201cseizing the means of production.\u201d\u00a0Mamdani also said, \u201cThe\u00a0abolition of private property\u00a0\u2026 is preferable to what is going on right now.\u201d These comments loudly echo Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels\u2019 cornerstone collectivist text\u00a0\u201cThe Communist Manifesto.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Current DSA mouthpiece Hasan Piker thinks the fall of the Soviet Union was a great catastrophe. He thinks Mao Zedong, the greatest mass murderer in history, was one of the world\u2019s great leaders. He likes Mao so much he often wears a Mao jacket. He also thinks we deserved 9-11, but that on the Islamist side, which with Piker is a two-fer.<\/p>\n

\n

DSA recently celebrated Cuban communist tyrant Fidel Castro. \u201cDSA Commemorates 100 Years of Fidel,\u201d it cheered on Aug. 13. \u201cFidel was an organizer, a fighter, and endures as a stalwart symbol of anti-imperialist struggle \u2026 \u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Other high-ranking DSA members are equally brazen:<\/p>\n

DSA-NPC member\u00a0Amy Wilhelm\u00a0stated: \u201cOur role ultimately is to facilitate our own empire\u2019s failure.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have a unique responsibility to act from the heart of empire, the belly of the beast,\u201d NPC member\u00a0Frances Gill pleaded. \u201cThe most important thing that we can do is take that empire down from within.\u201d<\/p>

\u201cU.S. imperialism is not a thing that can be reformed away. It has to be overthrown through revolutionary struggle,\u201d according to NPC\u2019s Hazel Williams.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

* \u201cDefund the Department of War. End all foreign wars and close overseas military bases.\u201d<\/p>\n

* \u201ca free Palestine with Jerusalem as its capital. End all military and economic aid to Israel.\u201d<\/p>\n

* End deportations and \u201cgrant amnesty for all immigrants regardless of status \u2026 \u201d<\/p>\n

* D.C. statehood + give Green Card holders the vote.<\/p>\n

* \u201cAbolish the Electoral College. Replace the President and Supreme Court with an executive and judiciary chosen by and subordinate to Congress.\u201d Also, \u201cExpand the House of Representatives, implement proportional representation and ranked choice voting in all elections, and abolish the Senate.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

* Establish public ownership of the largest corporations and essential industries\u201d and \u201cEnact aggressive wealth taxes on the richest individuals and corporations\u2026 \u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

That would be just the beginning of the revolution. We\u2019d better ensure the Constitution isn\u2019t a suicide pact.<\/p>\n
