If those who stick around have to endure the feminist follies of an uppity local lass, then they anticipate some warm comfort in return. One way to accomplish this is to enhance their primal appeal, and in their minds pheromone-maxxing is the way to go.<\/p>\n

The belief underlying this (it may be a case where perception is more important than reality) is that skipping hygienic endeavors will make their musky odors sexually irresistible to the \u201cladies.\u201d Their adulterated pheromones will overwhelm the fairer sex who will be immune to their seductive charms, so the thinking goes.<\/p>\n

Whether the overpowering odor is attractive or repulsive is yet to be determined, but hey, at least these pheromone-maxxing bros are not running away like the Passport Bros.<\/p>\n

While human pheromones are probable, science has yet to conclusively determine their influence on human interactions.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s also dubious that layers of sweat and dirt will enhance them or inhibit them. But with the plethora of DEI and AA programs undermining meritocracy, scientific studies don\u2019t seem to be as robust these days. It\u2019s prudent to be skeptical of the so-called \u201cexperts.\u201d<\/p>

Now, over two years into this latest trend of pheromone-maxxing, I don\u2019t think they\u2019d still be engaging in such impolite behaviors unless they \u201cscored.\u201d Maybe the young men are onto something.<\/p>\n

Do you remember the John Cleese movie A Fish Called Wanda<\/em>? There\u2019s a hilarious science where Otto West (Kevin Kline) sniffs his boots and armpits before jumping into bed for a vigorous encounter with Wanda (Jamie Lee-Curtis). His pheromones turned them both on.<\/p>\n

Juxtaposed to that, the repressed Archie (played by Cleese), grooms himself and even clips his toenails before sheepishly sliding into bed with his prudish wife Wendy.<\/p>\n

Clearly, Otto and Wanda were onto something long before the current pheromone-maxxing phenomenon. Those pheromones are real; a sort of aphrodisiac. Rather than skip showers, perhaps the best way to enhance their efficacy is to remain unscented.<\/p>
