I saw a story this morning at the New York Post, which included some extremely graphic CCTV stills of a crime scene. Though the victim was blurred out, you could see a black man holding a blade (which turned out to be a meat cleaver), with his arm raised above another man, who was bent over\u2014either the victim had already been stabbed and keeled over, or he had his head down and was completely unaware of what was about to befall him. There was another still, this time showing the victim crumpled on the ground, with his blood spattered all<\/em> across the laundromat floor.<\/p>

The victim, Jose Miranda, a 45-year-old father of two with an honest job (he worked as a barber), had been hacked to death by career criminal Clarence Woodward\u2014who had around 30 arrests on his rap sheet before the killing. (Woodward stabbed another man in the laundromat too, but that victim seems to have survived.)<\/p>\n

Well, apparently Woodward died in jail earlier this week while awaiting his trial. My thoughts? Good riddance<\/em>, and truly, thank God\u2014it\u2019s like Toby Keith sang: \u201cWe got too many gangsters doing dirty deeds\u2026send them all to their Maker and He\u2019ll settle \u2018em down.\u201d<\/p>\n

Zohran Mamdani\u2019s take on Woodward\u2019s death though? Deep sadness. Literally. Here\u2019s what he said:<\/p>\n

No mention of Jose whatsoever, which naturally, caused Jose\u2019s family great distress, calling the X post a \u201cslap in the face\u201d and a \u201cterrible\u201d take. Yet, in an act of graciousness to which I cannot relate, Jose\u2019s own mother stated that because of her Christian faith, she did not wish to speak badly about Woodward, because she leaves \u201ceverything in God\u2019s hands.\u201d<\/p>\n

Leftists, especially ones like Mamdani, will often embrace the same \u201cgood riddance\u201d attitude I have, though it\u2019s only reserved for the deaths of\u2026political opponents. Rush Limbaugh\u2026 Charlie Kirk\u2026 Lindsey Graham\u2026 etc. So what does that say about the criminals they mourn? Well, the criminals are the opposite of political opponents to the left\u2026 meaning they\u2019re political allies.<\/p>\n

I mean, that\u2019s nothing new or groundbreaking, but it\u2019s always sobering to be reminded of it.<\/p>
