Translated from Hasanspeak, what that means is, Piker has realized that the socialist coup is not going according to plan, that the conservative warheads are hitting close to home, and that he needs as much support as he can get —\u00a0even support from the Democrat establishment, the party he usually refers to in terms like \u201cI don\u2019t give a f*** about the Democratic Party.\u201d The same party that his pals in the DSA are trying to destroy.<\/p>\n

At this point, Piker strongly reminds me of Internet pest Jack Doherty, who, for those unfamiliar with the name \u2013 and there\u2019s no reason why you should be \u2013 is a streamer notorious for hassling people for the purpose of creating video clips. Doherty\u2019s routine is to strike out at or shove passersby in malls, on the street, and elsewhere, while accompanied by his large bodyguard (named \u201cRichie,\u201d if I\u2019m not mistaken), who leaps in at the first sign of retaliation. Doherty has been decked a couple times, but his cries of \u201cRichie! Richie!\u201d have always extricated him.<\/p>

It served him for a while, gaining him millions in both followers and revenue. But karma caught up with Jack Doherty, first in the late 2024 crash of a $200 grand McLaren, then in a Miami Beach drug bust a year later. After that, Doherty\u2019s streaming empire went into its death spiral, his channel banned from streaming sites and followers dropping off.<\/p>\n

There are a lot of similarities between Piker and Doherty, and not just the hairstyle accurately termed the \u201cbroccoli\u201d cut. Both have at best a vague notion of how the world actually works. Both have created online schticks based on arrogance, insolence, and belligerence. Both have followings made up in large part of people who are present to witness the inevitable collapse. Begging the Dems to save him is merely Piker\u2019s version of wailing \u201cRichie!\u201d<\/p>\n

Piker has probably gone too far out on a limb to start inching back now. He\u2019s contracted the worst form of political leprosy —\u00a0he\u2019s become a liability. At best, he\u2019ll be a footnote to another weird episode in American politics. Maybe he can start slapping people around in malls.<\/p>
