Such seems to be the story with Frank Kendall, a former Biden administration Secretary of the Air Force who got his security clearances pulled for what the Pentagon said was leaking dangerous secrets about the weaknesses in President Trump’s transport jet at a time and in the vicinity of military hostilities\u00a0with\u00a0Iran. It was information that could have gotten the president killed.<\/p>\n

According to the Washington Post:<\/p>\n

The Trump administration has revoked the security clearance of Frank Kendall, who served as Air Force secretary under President Joe Biden, accusing him of disclosing classified information about Air Force One to the media.<\/p>\n

Kendall has recently been quoted in the\u00a0New York Times\u00a0and the\u00a0Wall Street Journal, in stories scrutinizing the security features of the\u00a0Boeing 747 gifted by Qatar, the plane President Donald Trump is using as his official presidential aircraft.<\/p>\n

Kendall told the Times that he was \u201csurprised to see this plane used outside the U.S.,\u201d given how\u00a0speedily it was modified\u00a0after the Qatari royal family gave it to the United States. To the Journal, Kendall expressed skepticism that the plane had been \u201cmaxed out\u201d with security features, as\u00a0Trump has said it would be.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Such useful information for Iran’s assassination squads, which have already tried a few times, to have.<\/p>\n

He knew the rules. His biography suggests he was steeped in classified culture, and outside government, it was his bread and butter in the swamp of consultant contracts.<\/p>\n

He should not have been sharing any information about the president’s security arrangements with any member of the press just bcause they wanted that information. After all, plenty of them have been caught on the take from bad governments, which he should have been aware of. While there’s no evidence so far that these reporters were on the take, by coincidence, the information the Times and Journal sought was just the kind of information Iran would find interesting and would pay for.<\/p>\n

His antennae should have been up when the questions were thrown at him, and a tight little ‘no comment’ would have done it, if not a Miss Mannersy “Why do you want to know?”<\/p>\n

Whether he was doing it to be friends with the reporters, or had malice on his mind against Trump, is unknown, but this wasn’t someone who naively spilt the beans out of ignorance. He knew what he was telling them, and somehow, he wanted it out there that the president’s jet didn’t have all the standard defenses presidential jets have. When it became news, it prompted a jet switchover on a presidential trip from Turkey, which likely cost a pretty penny.<\/p>\n

The Post continued:<\/p>\n

In an\u00a0X post Friday night, Pentagon spokesman Sean Parnell said Kendall was being stripped of access to classified information and his ability to hold any sensitive position following \u201cunauthorized disclosure of classified information regarding Air Force One\u2019s capabilities.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cSafeguarding classified information is a non-negotiable duty. Those who violate that trust forfeit the privilege of access and any role requiring it,\u201d Parnell wrote.<\/p>\n

On Saturday, Kendall, who also served in the Defense Department during the Obama administration, told The Washington Post he is considering his legal options in response to Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth removing his clearance.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

But of course: His rice bowl is threatened. Which once again raises the issue: Why does anyone outside government have a sensitive security clearance?\u00a0Once out, they should join the ranks of normal people. But somehow, they’re special.<\/p>\n

Kendall bears\u00a0an odd resemblance to both Joe Biden and John Brennan, which is to say, swamp creature and deep stater all around. He obviously has seen over the years how leakers of major secrets, such as Reality Winner and Bradley\u00a0(now Chelsea) Manning, got off with slaps on the wrist, telling him that\u00a0the rules were almost non-existent. He also was around when Gen. Mark Milley called up his buddies the Chicoms and assured them he’d give them a heads-up if the U.S. launched an attack on China in the waning days of the first Trump administration, not telling the president, of course. He got his security clearance pulled too for that stunt. Now it’s Kendall who’s been found out, though he says he did nothing wrong.<\/p>\n

It’s too bad that’s all that happened to both Milley and Kendall. Both used the press to undermine President Trump, and in both cases, egregiously so.\u00a0<\/p>\n

People go to jail for taking money from foreign powers in exchange for state secrets, and rightly so. How is using the press for the same purpose as these seedy little profit exchanges any different?<\/p>\n
