One of my all-time favorite movie scenes is from Dirty Harry<\/em>, the Clint Eastwood detective movie, where Harry Callahan (Eastwood) is drawing down on a suspect after a gunfight.\u00a0<\/p>

The criminal is within a hand\u2019s reach of several weapons as Callahan towers above, aiming his weapon at the man\u2019s head.\u00a0\u00a0He says, \u201cThe question you have to ask yourself, punk, is are you feeling lucky.\u00a0\u00a0This is a .44 Magnum, the world’s largest handgun.\u00a0\u00a0It will blow your head off.\u00a0\u00a0So, you are asking yourself, \u2018Did he fire six shots or just five?\u2019\u00a0\u00a0In all the commotion, I\u2019m not sure.\u00a0\u00a0So, punk, are you feeling lucky?\u201d<\/p>\n

The punk wasn\u2019t feeling lucky and surrendered.\u00a0\u00a0But as Harry walked away, the man on the ground pleaded, \u201cI gots to know.\u00a0\u00a0I gots to know!\u201d\u00a0\u00a0Harry knew.\u00a0\u00a0He fired his empty gun at the man and walked away.<\/p>\n

Imagine if one of Harry\u2019s underlings or a spectator had yelled that the gun was empty.\u00a0\u00a0The punk would have grabbed for a weapon on the ground, and the movie might have needed to be renamed Bloody Harry<\/em>.\u00a0\u00a0Fortunately for Harry, but not for the punk on the ground, that didn\u2019t happen, and we had a happy outcome for Harry Callahan.<\/p>\n

Today, that punk on the ground is Iran, and unfortunately, some treasonous, highly placed source is telling the media that our weapons are in low supply, and those less than patriotic media reports are surely being seen by Iran.<\/p>\n

So the punk is feeling lucky.\u00a0\u00a0They are drawing this war out, a war they are sure to lose.\u00a0\u00a0Their already stupid strategy is being bolstered by what can surely be called treasonous leaks to the media.\u00a0\u00a0Why would anyone with the best intentions for the U.S. do such a thing?<\/p>

I believe, like so many other things, that a major factor is hatred of President Donald Trump \u2014 TDS \u2014 and frankly, I\u2019m beyond tired of this nonsense. For most of our history, the media felt some responsibility towards the national good.\u00a0\u00a0Woodward and Bernstein changed that with the Watergate lynching of Richard Nixon.\u00a0\u00a0Since those Watergate days, the media have been all about \u201cgetting\u201d anyone they can, any way they can, national interests be damned.\u00a0\u00a0The media hangmen will show some restraint when it comes to Democrat miscreants, but never to a Republican.\u00a0\u00a0They will, in fact,\u00a0create\u00a0false narratives to bring down the men with the elephants on their lapels, as evidenced by all the attempts to destroy Donald Trump.<\/p>\n

The media will always get away with reporting whatever they learn, regardless of consequences.\u00a0\u00a0Although they are destined to go unpunished for their behavior, the same need not be said for those leaking the information.\u00a0\u00a0I hope with every fiber of my being that those individuals are uncovered and tried for treason.\u00a0\u00a0They deserve it.\u00a0\u00a0Maybe that outcome would uncover a bit of conscience in the media as they realize what their release of the information to the public has caused.\u00a0\u00a0But whom am I kidding?<\/p>\n

Today, Dirty Donald (sorry, Mr. President) has Iran in his crosshairs, and he knows that even if our weapons supply is a bit down, there are plenty of bullets left in the gun to finish the job.\u00a0\u00a0He is giving the punk nation of Iran a chance to save itself from decapitation.\u00a0\u00a0The Iranian leaders have already shown themselves to be duplicitous and mendacious.\u00a0\u00a0In plainer words, they are lying scum.\u00a0\u00a0When their head finally explodes, as it is destined to do, I hope the leakers and media are happy with all the extra, unnecessary death they have caused.<\/p>\n

I don\u2019t believe there is any hope for the people who leak secret information for whatever reason.\u00a0\u00a0But maybe our nation\u2019s journalism schools will consider some courses in patriotism for their students.\u00a0\u00a0I would love to see that happen, but I\u2019m not going to hold my breath.<\/p>
