One of the sad ironies in our world today, especially in Germany and much of Europe, is that their loyal Jewish population was destroyed and replaced by largely unassimilated Muslims.\u00a0\u00a0Germany, we recall, perpetrated the Holocaust, in which six million Jews were murdered, including one and one half million children.\u00a0\u00a0The Holocaust reduced the Jewish population of Europe by two thirds. Today, approximately\u00a01.3\u00a0million Jews live in Europe, though not for long.\u00a0\u00a0Rampant antisemitism in Europe is emanating from the right wing, the left wing, and the Islamist elements.\u00a0\u00a0The combination of left-wing and Islamist antisemitism \u2014 known as the Red\/Green alliance \u2014 has nothing in common other than their hatred for Jews.\u00a0\u00a0This relationship has grown to become deadly and has resulted in an exodus of Jews from Europe to Israel.<\/p>

Jews, particularly in Germany, earned a disproportionally high number of Nobel Prizes (before the Nazis and Hitler came to power), bringing fame and honor to that nation.\u00a0\u00a0Likewise, Jews contributed richly to Germany\u2019s economy, science, arts, medicine, and sports.\u00a0\u00a0Conversely, many of the millions of Middle Eastern Muslims former German Chancellor Angela Merkel imported have contributed richly to antisemitism, terror, sexual crimes, etc., and are now chafing under Germany\u2019s democratic system and way of life.<\/p>\n

This past Sunday, July 26, 2026, the Associated Press\u00a0reported that \u201ca van slammed into people gathered for\u00a0Berlin\u2019s famed Pride festival\u00a0on Saturday night, killing one person, injuring at least 29 others and prompting police to call off the celebrations and a concert in the German capital hours after they had begun.\u00a0\u00a0The suspect is known to police as\u00a0a member of Islamic circles here in Berlin, and searching for this person is proceeding at full speed.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0He was subsequently found and killed by German police.<\/p>\n

Julika Enslin, in a report titled \u201cThe Evolution of the Islamist Terror Threat Landscape in Germany Since 2020,\u201d\u00a0<\/em>pointed out that \u201csince the October 7, 2023, attack against Israel, German authorities have warned of an increased Islamist threat in Germany.\u00a0\u00a0However, even prior to Hamas\u2019s terrorist attack, Germany had seen a resurgence in major Islamist terrorist incidents such as in Dresden, Nuremburg, and Duisburg.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0Minister for the interior Nancy Faeser stated in the Annual Report of the Office for the Protection of the Constitution for the year 2023, \u201cSince the Hamas terrorist attack on Israel on October 7, 2023, the\u00a0threat posed by Islamist terrorism has increased further. But even before that the threat level was high.\u201d<\/p>\n

The\u00a0Jerusalem Post\u00a0reported on October 29, 2015 that \u201cGerman Jews are concerned\u00a0over the potential for a rise in antisemitism due to the increasing flow of Syrian migrants, several community leaders told Chancellor Angela Merkel.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0In retrospect, that concern was more than justified.\u00a0\u00a0Today, Jews in Germany must once again hide their Jewishness for personal safety.\u00a0\u00a0Israel\u2019s ambassador to Germany, Ron Prosor, in an interview with Germany\u2019s\u00a0Deutsche Welle (DW)\u00a0on April 22, 2026, pointed out that Jews in Germany today are afraid to ride the underground trains for fear of being attacked, principally by radicalized Muslims.<\/p>\n

Questioned about the \u201ctwo-state solution,\u201d which has become a mantra for politicians and heads of state of E.U. countries, including Germany\u2019s current\u00a0chancellor, Friedrich Merz, Prosor responded, \u201cA lot of politicians basically repeat, like a\u00a0parrot, two-state solution.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0He pointed out that in 2005, as director of Israel\u2019s foreign service, he supported Israel\u2019s unilateral withdrawal from Gaza and hoped for a peaceful solution.\u00a0\u00a0The situation and his opinion, however, changed after October 7, 2023.\u00a0\u00a0\u201cWe will do everything, on the one hand, [to] reach out to everyone who really wants peace with us.\u00a0\u00a0On the other hand, [we will] hold the Shield of David very, very close to our chest, because only a strong Israel, a very strong Israel can achieve peace in this region.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0Prosor also suggested that German leaders should ask the Palestinians if they are ready for a two-state solution and if they are willing to live in peace alongside a Jewish state.<\/p>\n

European Union leaders, including Germany\u2019s, are fueling antisemitism and incite violence by repeating lies such as \u201cmassacre in Gaza,\u201d \u201cstarvation of Palestinians,\u201d and \u201cIsraeli genocide in Gaza.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0Whether it is meant to assuage the guilt of Europeans over colonialism or to appease their Muslim populations, this verbiage enables and encourages intimidation and violence, and it is prompting the Jews of Europe to flee the continent.<\/p>

Germans must never forget that it was their nation that committed one of the most heinous crimes in history \u2014 the Holocaust.\u00a0\u00a0The German Bundesrat \u2014 the German Upper Chamber in the Parliament \u2014 has proposed a bill seeking to ban the questioning of Israel’s right to exist.\u00a0\u00a0There is no guarantee, though, that the lower house \u2014 the Bundestag \u2014 will pass it into law.<\/p>\n

The Muslim Brotherhood and an assortment of other Islamist groups seeking to establish Islamic dominance over Europe are exploiting the openness of European societies, including Germany\u2019s, by testing their triumphalist strategies on the Jews before they widen the net and engulf the rest of society.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Jews are the canaries in the coal mine, an alert system to those who pay attention.\u00a0\u00a0As was shown this past week at the Berlin Pride Festival, the anti-Jewish violence that has gripped Germany and the continent will not stop with the Jews.<\/p>\n

Multiculturalism and political correctness imposed by the liberal elites on the native populations in western Europe, through the educational system and the media, have not resulted in the assimilation of large portions of the Muslim community.\u00a0\u00a0They are not becoming good liberal Germans or European.\u00a0\u00a0This separatism can only portend the continent\u2019s demise.<\/p>\n

Antisemitism in Germany and Europe will ultimately push most Jews to leave the \u201c20th-century European Jewish graveyard\u201d for the vibrant Jewish state.<\/p>
