At first, the technology was sold as a way to monitor car traffic and identify vehicles that law enforcement may wish to identify. Then the cameras started showing up on bike paths, outside sporting goods stores <em>that sell firearms and pointed right at the door instead of surveilling the parking lot<\/em>, and apparently, in little girls\u2019 gymnastics classes.<\/p>\n<p>Jason Hunyar describes himself as \u201cjust a dad who is filing open records requests\u201d in an effort to \u201cfight this $8.4B mass surveillance corporation [Flock],\u201d but he runs an incredibly informative and evidence-rich Substack, and a few months back in April of this year, he reported that last September (2025), Flock Safety\u2019s VP, a man named Bob Carter, used Hunyar\u2019s local police department\u2019s Flock system (in Dunwoody, Georgia) to log on and watch a little girls\u2019 gymnastics class:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Bob Carter \u2026 on September 30th, 2025, logged onto the Dunwoody Police Department Flock system and looked at one singular camera, which happened to be in the little girl\u2019s gymnastics room of a private business.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>But there\u2019s been a recent development:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>After I revealed Mr. Carter\u2019s behavior, he was <em><strong>wiped completely clean<\/strong><\/em> from the Flock system.
