It’s so bizarre it can only lend itself to satire. So, I’ll give it a go — like this:<\/p>\n

President Trump: I will be making a big announcement tonight, a yuuuge announcement concerning election integrity \u2014 or the lack thereof \u2014 and its implications for the future of our country and national security. I will be revealing conclusive proof that <\/em>China<\/em> extensively meddled in the 2020 presidential election \u2014 and that our own intelligence organizations and the \u2018Deep State\u2019 deliberately and systemically hid that from you, the American people and voters \u2026 and from myself, your duly elected president<\/em>.<\/p>\n

NBC: We will not be bringing you Trump\u2019s little, baseless, haranguing speech tonight, because we will be showing you some critical <\/em>clips from the <\/em>Maine Senate debate<\/em>.<\/p>\n

ABC:\u00a0 We didn\u2019t feel it was right or moral to pre-empt \u2014 or delay \u2014 the current episode of The Bachelor, and therefore deprive American citizens (and voters!) of almost real-time updates on <\/em>Spencer Conley & Jess Edwards<\/em><\/strong>, who were engaged on the finale of\u00a0Bachelor in Paradise<\/em><\/em>\u00a0season 10 just last September<\/em>.<\/p>\n

CBS: As President Trump continues to make unverified, and frankly preposterous, assertions about Chinese interference and other forms of fraud in what most experts claim was the most secure election in American history, we have to cut away now to bring you breaking news: Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have just announced that they will be taking a second — and much longer — honeymoon in the Cayman Islands early next year after the NFL season has concluded<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Wow. Just wow.<\/p>\n

The Associated Press (AP), recapping President Trump\u2019s speech: The president put forth soaring but baseless rhetoric about alleged American exceptionalism before weirdly veering into a <\/em>darkly political<\/em> speech with warnings about a sinister threat of communism that evoked one of the country\u2019s ugliest chapters. Trump went so far as to state that an amorphous and almost undetectable <\/em>communism was a mortal threat to American liberty. What a nut job! \u00a025th\u00a0Amendment people! Trumpty Dumpty\u2019s speech pales in comparison to then President Biden\u2019s brilliant Sept.\u00a01, 2022, <\/em>speech<\/em> in which he rightly and properly demonized Trump and his fascistic supporters in a fiery rant girded by a suitably dark and blood-red background.<\/em><\/p>\n
