A major problem in America is that the left still has a chokehold on the news. While distrust of the media may be at an all-time high (only 25%-28% of Americans trust the news), they still tune in. Between them, ABC, NBC, and CBS still get a combined audience of about 17.6 million Americans, while the New York Times, U.S. News, and Yahoo (which retails stories only from leftist outlets) completely dominate news websites and apps. Despite people\u2019s claimed distrust of the old-time (leftist) media, it still controls what people know…and what they don\u2019t know.<\/p>

Some of the media sins are outright misrepresentations. Others are the media\u2019s manic focus on frivolous stories. Thus, the media are obsessed with the reflecting pool, to the exclusion of other news.<\/p>\n

But the media\u2019s main sin isn\u2019t what they can report, which at least can be rebutted; instead, it\u2019s what they hide from view. For example, they flooded their audience when Israel dared to detain Greta Thunberg and comrades when their \u201cGaza flotilla\u201d entered Israeli waters for hostile purposes, politely tried to have them watch actual footage from October 7, and sent them home. Meanwhile, that same flotilla has been held captive for weeks in Libya, but as David Strom writes, \u201cNo Jews, No News.\u201d<\/p>\n

The past 30 days, however, have provided two egregious cases of media silence that might be useful to persuade somewhat receptive Democrats that they\u2019ve been living in a world of lies of omission.<\/p>\n

The worst recent media lie of omission concerns\u00a0Rupert Lowe\u2019s Rape Gang Inquiry, released on June 16:<\/p>\n

It\u2019s based on first-person interviews and crime database analyses, and asserts that since 1951, mostly Muslim gangs (85% of which are comprised of men with Muslim names) have sexually trafficked in sadistic ways 250,000 British girls and women. The Rotherham scandal, which no one in Britain can deny, is a microcosm of a systemic, decades-long mass atrocity that the government ignored or condoned<\/p>\n

The report is newsworthy, whether it\u2019s true or a dishonest calumny against Britain\u2019s Muslims. And yet… Here\u2019s what ChatGPT dug up when I asked it to find how the major media outlets have reported on the story as of today:<\/p>\n

In case the image doesn\u2019t appear on your screen, ChatGPT concluded that none of the Democrat-controlled major media outlets from which Americans get most of their news (NYT, WaPo, LAT, ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, or MS-NOW) have said a word about the Rape Gang Inquiry. They haven\u2019t even tried to rebut it. They\u2019re ignoring it completely.<\/p>\n

The same is true for the December 3, 2025, murder of Henry Nowak, which has become a massive cause c\u00e9l\u00e8bres<\/em> in the UK. He was a nice 18-year-old who had the misfortune to cross paths with Vickrum Singh Digwa, the son of Sikh Indian immigrants.<\/p>

While ordinary Brits are not allowed to carry knives, Sikhs are, and Digwa used the knife to stab Nowak four times in the chest. When the police arrived, Nowak was bleeding out and clearly unable to breathe. Digwa claimed the stabbing was necessary because Nowak said racist things to him. The police responded by cuffing Nowak and leaving him to die in a pool of his own blood, while extending solicitude to Digwa.<\/p>\n

The story of Nowak\u2019s death hit social media on May 14, 2026, inspiring outrage against the British police. It was a big story in social and conservative media:<\/p>\n

However, the same leftist media that literally set America on fire when a convicted felon who\u2019d passed counterfeit bills and ingested a fatal amount of fentanyl died in police custody because a hostile mob wouldn\u2019t let an ambulance get to him, covered it only weeks\u00a0later and very reluctantly. Again, here\u2019s ChatGPT\u2019s summary, including information about how those few MSM outlets that covered it chose to shade it, not as a news story on its own, but as a \u201cRepublicans pounce\u201d narrative:<\/p>\n

Democrats live in a world of lies, whether of commission or omission. Their universe is bounded by the media\u2019s narratives about the Russia Hoax, COVID\u2019s origin, the vaccine\u2019s perfect virtues, Fauci\u2019s greatness, Obama\u2019s moral purity, Biden\u2019s mental competence, the Civil War-like assault on Congress on January 6, and the unlimited benefits of open borders.<\/p>\n

The best analogy I can think of for the Democrat masses\u2019 intellectual blindness and the almost impossible task of shifting that ignorance is in C.S. Lewis\u2019s final book in the Narnia series, The Last Battle<\/em>, a parable about the Apocalypse.<\/p>\n

In the afterlife, which allows eternal life for some while consigning others to perdition, a handful of dwarves that were not denied access to Heaven are still unable to appreciate their good fortune. Even though they sit in a glorious, sunlit field, they are convinced they are in a dark, dirty shed. When Aslan places a feast before them, they perceive it as disgusting refuse that they trample into the dirt as they fight each other. That\u2019s the state of too many Democrats.<\/p>\n

Jeremiah said (5:21), \u201cHear this, O foolish and senseless people, who have eyes but do not see, who have ears but do not hear.\u201d Still, perhaps these and other examples of media silence can help bring worried Democrats, the ones who are realizing that there is a problem, into the light.<\/p>
