For 2026, New York State\u2019s population is estimated at just over 20 million, the 4th<\/sup>\u00a0largest in America.\u00a0However, NY State is only 27th<\/sup>\u00a0in land area in the nation. One would think that many people in such a relatively small space could present quite a few problems for state legislators to solve. One would further suspect those problems might be demanding and require pretty much their full attention. One would apparently suspect wrongly.<\/p>

But before suspecting further, keep in mind Democrats excel at warping the English language for nefarious political purposes. They know that if they can change the terms of any debate, with the more-than-willing help of their media propaganda operatives, they might be able to win. Thus have \u201cillegal aliens\u201d become \u201cundocumented residents.\u201d Thus, has the surgical and chemical mutilation of children become \u201cgender affirming care.\u201d Thus, have career felons become \u201cjustice involved individuals.\u201d Thus, have vicious, insane, addicted lunatics become \u201cthe Homeless.\u201d Thus, have semiautomatic rifles become \u201cassault weapons,\u201d and the New York Legislature, which apparently has a lot of free time on its hands, is also at the language-warping game:<\/p>\n

And the ethical, medical and\/or political necessity for that would be what, exactly? Did some NY politician sitting in a committee hearing suddenly decide \u201cmother\u201d and \u201cfather\u201d were too confusing, so new terms were necessary? I know Democrats have no idea what a woman is because most of them aren\u2019t biologists, and apparently Democrat biologists have no idea either, but \u201cgestating parent?\u201d That\u2019s better?\u00a0That would have made the spectacle of Ketanji Brown Jackson saying she had no idea what a gestating parent was better or slightly saner?<\/p>\n

It\u2019s worse than you imagine:<\/p>\n

\n

A woke new bill erases the terms \u201cmother\u201d and \u201cfather\u201d from state child custody and parental laws \u2014 a gender-neutral rewriting that\u2019s expected to spark a flood of similarly clunky legislation.<\/p>\n

\u201cMother\u201d would be replaced with \u201cgestating parent\u201d while \u201cfather\u201d becomes \u201cnon-gestating parent\u201d or \u201cparent\u201d in family court along with in domestic and education law, under the legislation, passed this week by state Democrats.<\/p>\n

\u201cPaternity\u201d proceedings to determine a child\u2019s biological father would meanwhile become \u201cparentage\u201d cases, under the bill, which was rammed through the Assembly in March and of the Senate this week.<\/p>\n

A \u201cputative father\u201d \u2014 also known as a deadbeat dad \u2014 would now be called \u201can alleged parent\u201d in official state records, under the bill, which was sponsored by liberals Sen. Luis Sepulveda (D-Bronx) and Assemblywoman Amy Paulin (D-Westchester) and will go to Gov. Kathy Hochul\u2019s desk for approval.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

This is probably unintentionally satirical and ironic:<\/p>\n

\n

He said the gender-neutral bill is likely to lead to a stampede of others, and called state lawmakers\u2019 priorities backwards \u2014 considering they were almost two months late in passing a state budget.<\/p>\n

\u201cImagine people who are considering moving to New York seeing this and saying, \u2018Do I need this silliness?\u2019 This is a really weird group of elected officials. It comes out of left field,\u201d he said.<\/p>

Oh yes, they do indeed come \u201cout of left field.\u201d Still, there must be some reason, no matter\u00a0\u00a0how insane, for this law, which has yet to be signed by the governor?<\/p>\n

The bill aims to make custody law more inclusive for LGBTQ+ parents and families who use assisted reproduction or surrogacy.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Oh. There remains a single question to be asked:<\/p>\n

Other than their increasingly dangerous, collective insanity, you mean?<\/p>\n

Writing the made-up, scary term into legislation didn\u2019t magically conjure non-existent \u201cassault weapons\u201d out of thin air. Writing \u201cgestating parent\u201d and \u201cnon-gestating parent\u201d\u2014why not \u201cgestationless parent\u201d or \u201cgestation deficient parent?\u201d\u2014does not eliminate mothers and fathers. And what\u2019s wrong with \u201ctesticled\u201d and \u201cnon-testicled\u201d parents, or would that microaggress people pretending to have testicles, or ovaries, or whatever parts?<\/p>\n

What that does is add one more entry to the \u201cwe really can\u2019t coexist with these dangerously insane people\u201d list.<\/p>\n

Expect Gov. Hochul to sign the bill into law, as soon as she\u2019s done trying to convince the wealthy she chased out of the state to return so she can continue to tax them into oblivion. \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n
