Actually, store restaurant sales decreased 2.6 % year-over-year, and comparable store retail sales decreased 1.8%. Given the lackluster previous periods, the comparisons against the prior year quarter really should be more favorable.<\/p>\n

Nevertheless, the market is perhaps breathing a sigh of relief as the stock (ticker CBRL) is soaring as I write. It\u2019s likely that short-seller doomsayers (essentially, they take bearish positions in stocks, but must now pay the piper) have to cover, creating upward momentum.
