{"id":1044,"date":"2026-06-09T17:10:58","date_gmt":"2026-06-09T17:10:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/interstatelogisticshubs.com\/?p=1044"},"modified":"2026-06-09T17:10:58","modified_gmt":"2026-06-09T17:10:58","slug":"scott-pelley-earned-his-dismissal-long-ago","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/interstatelogisticshubs.com\/?p=1044","title":{"rendered":"Scott Pelley earned his dismissal long ago"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p>My favorite Scott Pelley interview was with then-former head of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) Christopher Krebs.\u00a0\u00a0Pelley must have liked it as well, because, following the interview, and with further elaboration, he posted it online, under the title \u201cFired director of U.S. cyber agency Chris Krebs explains why President Trump\u2019s claims of election interference are false.\u201d<\/p><p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/interstatelogisticshubs.com\/?p=1043\">What\u2019s wrong with California elections?<\/a><\/p>\n<p>In his introduction, Pelley states, \u201cMr. Trump\u2019s claim that millions of votes were deleted or switched is denied by the official he chose to secure the nation\u2019s election systems.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This is a misleading and a false statement.\u00a0\u00a0It is misleading because, although Trump did claim that millions of votes were deleted or switched, he was not speaking about \u201cthe nation\u2019s election systems,\u201d but about a specific element in it \u2014 its computer systems.<\/p>\n<p>In any election, there are, aside from computer systems, many potential avenues for election fraud, such as<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Mail-in ballot fraud (fake ballots, ballot-harvesting, forged signatures)<\/li>\n<li>Voter impersonation (someone voting in another person\u2019s name)<\/li>\n<li>Double-voting (same person voting more than once)<\/li>\n<li>Non-citizen voting<\/li>\n<li>Dead people voting<\/li>\n<li>Ballot-stuffing at polling places or drop boxes<\/li>\n<li>Chain-of-custody violations (lost, destroyed, or added ballots)<\/li>\n<li>Fake registrations or illegal voting by felons in states where prohibited<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Obviously, the finding that computer systems (which lend themselves to such evaluation) might not be corrupted does not mean that the foregoing elements have not been corrupted.\u00a0\u00a0For such reason, Pelley\u2019s statement that Krebs\u2019s role was to \u201csecure the nation\u2019s election systems\u201d is plainly false; it was his role, within elections, to secure the integrity of the computer systems.<\/p>\n<p>That little detail notwithstanding, in the interview itself, Pelley, quoting a prior joint November 12 statement made by CISA and other agencies, read,<\/p><p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/interstatelogisticshubs.com\/?p=1040\">A wannabe senator flies to Vegas<\/a><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>The November 3rd election was the most secure in American history.
