Nevertheless, he admitted that the whole thing looks awful, and that many will conclude that the fix was in.<\/p>\n

My friend is right that the whole thing is awful, and it\u2019s time to change it.\u00a0 It\u2019s sad when Colombia can announce results by 8 p.m., but California is still counting.\u00a0 Who knew that we\u2019d be saying that Colombia has a more efficient vote counting system than California?\u00a0 Well they do, and so does Chile, Paraguay, Bolivia, Argentina, and a few of those countries who we used to call \u201cthird world\u201d!<\/p>\n

Where do we go from here?\u00a0 Well, let\u2019s hope that the Supreme Court can save California from itself.\u00a0 The Justices will probably issue another 6-3 opinion soon, and we can\u2019t wait for it.\u00a0 Here is the story:<\/p>\n

It\u2019s an absurd claim and not the way the IRS operates. But it is the very logic the Supreme Court is expected to use later this month in a decision that could doom California\u2019s mail-in voting system.<\/p>\n

California\u2019s snail-paced tallying was back in the news last week as results of several races in the June 2 primary \u2014 including the high-profile race for governor and another for mayor of Los Angeles \u2014 remained unclear as mail-in ballots continue to arrive and be counted.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Hurry up justices.\u00a0 We really need you this time.<\/p>\n

What we are seeing in California is that winning is all that matters to the Democrats.\u00a0 They want to preserve their power at any cost, even if it means counting until they get the desired result.\u00a0 It may be legal, under state rules, but it looks awful to the rest of us who vote in a more transparent way.\u00a0 It also makes you wonder how much longer we can preserve our union if voting rules are so different between states, and cities decide what federal laws they want to enforce.\u00a0 At some point, like a toxic marriage, the union will break and people will go their separate ways.<\/p>
